      Was this a lucid dream?

I had probably the strangest dream (that I've ever experienced of course) last night. I actually dreamed of myself having a lucid dream. Here is what happened in my dream:

In my dream, I found myself in this empty lab with a stretcher in the middle of it. I was bored and decided to take a nap. Before I fell asleep, I promised myself to do a reality check if I were to have a dream. After I fell asleep in my dream, I "woke up" and found myself in this gigantic gradulated cylinder (lol?). I did a reality check and found out that I was in a dream. I tried to jump out, but couldn't (obviously). Then, I tried to fly, and miraculously, I was able to fly out. I flew up into the air and found out that I was at a rocky-hilly seaside. It was very beautiful. I flew around the place, and saw some of my friends. I ignored them and did some exploring. After a while, I was bored, and decided to "teleport" somewhere else. That's when I woke up.

Would that dream be considered lucid?

yeah. You knew that you were dreaming. You are confused because you had a dream-within-a-dream. I have those a lot. Falling asleep in dreams is always so weird!

If you were unaware that you were dreaming, then no.

If you were aware you were dreaning, then yes.

Dream control is a whole different topic.

A few nights ago I had a dream of me attempting to get HI after waking up at night. And I did. THen I went on to have a dream talking about how dumb it was that I dreamed about dreaming. Then went on to another dream (agh..) talking about how dumb it was that I dreamed about dreaming about dreaming.

Wow, that is hilarious. I have also dreamed about talking with someone about lucid dreaming. I told them how to do reality checks, but never demonstrated. never got lucid in that one!

Jarrhead is correct. You knew you were dreaming. So...

once in my dream i was walking in a museum, when i realized i was dreaming i thought that i fall asleep somewhere in the museum.
its the same and i think its lucid, but u're not fully aware.
Sometimes the dream is playing tricks on you. In other LD i was in some building , i just recognized im in a dream and entered a room, which was actually my room, it was messed up, so i started cleaning it (stupid.. so i partly forgot i was dreaming cause the dream distracted me with my messed up room.) x)

Yes, it would. Because you knew you were dreaming (whether you didn't know in the first place or not), it's considered to be a lucid dream
