      Howdy.....

3-4 days ago I just had the urge to go back to wikipedia and check out about lucid dream again.... I've read it before but I dismissed it since it was too complex for me to handle.... turns out the abbreviations weren't that complex stumble upon a site that explains lucid dream and eventually I got here. And after spending the last 3 hours doing nothing but rcing chanting...... and studying terms and reading tutorial... I hope I have a lucid dream tonight... first attempt Kind of tense and wondering if this will work...........

So, nice to meet you all...
I'm eating now and I'll go to bed soon 10 pm now......

      so....
Go to bed.... lie there......relax......... go with my mantra
"next time I dream, I'll realize I'm dreaming".
and just imagine my last dream...... immerse myself with it.... imagine actually RCing and it succeeding......... and just thinking about having lucid dream when I lose consciousness...

      Sounds good.

Hello and Welcome to Dreamviews! Often times, a dreamer will have a lucid dream simply because it is on their mind. When I first joined this site, I had a lucid dream the first night because all the information was fresh in my mind. It is a good idea to keep LDing on your mind as much as possible in order to help the odds. Good Luck to you!

Thanks for the reply, I tried it last night..... chanting my mantra continuously and imagining an image of my last dream... how it feels to be in it and realize it's a lucid dream and RCing.... but in the end i tried like 7 times..... i would RC,,, lay down with my blanket covering up to my chest and just lay face up with hands to the side... the first time my eye keeps blinking continuously and my heart rate increased... and this happened for like 7 times... everytime it would calm down because i did something wrong supposedly, went to the bathroom and did it again.

And then i got tired and decided to go sleep.. and then I woke up this time..... I actually lost consciousness this time.... i remember i started 11 pm and the 7th and last time i tried to do MILD was like 11 35pm
I would be conscious if I keep chantign and nothing happened.

When I actually slept and woke up and go abck to sleep again. The next time i woke up was in the morning and I had the notion that I didnt have a dream, I wrote down in dream journal. None. But when I was on route to school I remembered the dream... but It wasnt lucid and I didnt dc... it was just a dream..

and today in class after i did the tests I decide to lay down on table.... trying to do WILD....... next time I sleep I'll have lucid dream
Next time i sleep ill realize im dreaming... these 2 for a while and switch abck tochanting mainly the former..... should I chant both? Becuase I heard if you say Lucid, then perhapse your subconscious mind might nto know waht lucid dream is and not actually have a lucid dream.

But anyway I slept and i also said in my midn the next scene will be a dream.... i relaxed my body and keep chanting it, same thing happened as yesterday night... but I fail to lose consciousness or even be awake while my body goes to sleep, I'd appreciate any help, when I get hope at 12 Pm today I will do WILD since it's supposd to be done after REM sleep and during nap should work.

I'd appreciate any tips.and one question, Do we dream sometime and sometimes not? Or we always dream and we just don't remember dreaming... this will clarify my odds of dreaming because I don't always have dream for the past 2-3 days anyways. Maybe I forgot, but I did recall last night's dream.

And the formula goes MILD before bed, if I wake up and forget the dream DO WILD, if i remember, concentrate on the dream and FILD to get back in there, and if I woke up and want to go back again...... WBTB.... simply go to bed thinkign about the dream, and WILD also works at noon, so that's it?

      Hiii welcome

Have you tried doing reality checks? I found out about them when I joined a few weeks ago. There's a lot of info about it on the site, basically you check that you are not in a dream in real life, it sounds silly but does work. For example, I tap in inside of my hand when i remember, if you keep doing things that that regularly (once every few hours) and then you'll find yourself doing in it a dream, so you'll become lucid. The more you experiment doing this the better you become at lucid dreaming and so on so forth
it works too! I had a lucid dream the other day, well at first it wasn't, there was this guy from a gang who came into our house and i was like "get out get out!" but he wouldn't and kept looking through our stuff. Then i did the hand tapping thing out of habit and realised that my hands were glowing, (so realised it was a dream) so I shouted at him "This is MY dream so you listen to ME!" I was planning on throwing him out of the window, but i don't have that much control in my dreams yet. So instead i took on the role of a therapist and he talked about his problems and turned out to be a pretty nice guy XD
ahahah sorry for rambling, so basically look into reality checks

Yes I did, qutie frequent... and they had meanings too... I would look at my watch and ask myself am I awake or dreaming? And I would gravity check touch things.. and come to the conclusion I'm awake... but the thing is after I woke up from the dream I dont remember it.. and when I did I remember that I didn't have time to reality check..... i was swept along.

We do only dream at certain times. Throughout the night, you will pass through different stages of sleep. The different stages will lead to different kinds of dreams. Some are more vivid than others.

It is often helpful to wake yourself up in the middle of the night (after about 4 or 5 hours of sleep), remind yourself of your intentions to have a lucid dream, then return to sleep. This is called a Wake Back To Bed (WBTB), and in my opinion, is the best way to increase your chances of lucidity.

Check out this tutorial, if you haven't already:

If you keep doing what you are doing now, and incorporate a WBTB into the mix, you should be lucid in no time.

Can I just wake up before/during REM, and just go to the bathroom.... and do a normal DILD/MILD. and go to sleep? how long do I have to be up? And i've read most of the tutorials.

Yeah I'll just go to the bathroom, come back meditate about getting LUCID dream....
