      Brand New. Quick Question

I have been able to recall my dreams. During the dream I usually have full control of my thoughts. (I can say to myself, this is a dream, or I can notice things out of the ordinary) The only thing that I have a question about is that the only way I can fully remember my dream throughout my day, is if I recall it directly after I wake up. Is this normal?

      Dream Recall.

You should try to write down as much of a dream as you can remember upon waking. Forgetting dreams when you wake up is normal too. But try to remember smaller things. Like people you met, or places you saw.

Try to get little pieces of your dreams to help you remember the bigger things.

      Also, welcome to DreamViews.

Actually I just realized that when I wake up, I only remember one dream. So I will try to wake up more often.

Try not to wake up too much throughout the night. It could possibly screw up your sleep schedule and have negative effects on your health (like lack of sleep).

Wake up 5-6 hours after you go to sleep

      Anyways, welcome to Dream Views!

No problem. That's my sleep schedule, if I just want to have some good rest without having LD's. Right now, I can recall up to 2 dreams per night. I'm still starting my journal though, it's not that much of a problem yet.
