      Smile another quick newbie question

I attempted my first WILD to induce lucid dream & during it I felt something like electrical waves flowing through my body & my body feeling like stone.I also felt like my legs were crossed or that I had 4 legs.

      My questions are:

      1)is this the sleep paralysis?

2)if this is the sleep paralysis , how do I pass it to enter lucid dream , I stayed like this for 20 minutes without entering a dream?

      Thank you.

This is basically the transition phase, when you between wakefulness and sleep. These are near symptoms of SP and if you carried on trying to lucid dream by various techniques in the dreamview tutorials then you would have entered a lucid dream.
One way to enter a lucid dream is to visualise places, landscape and scenarios. Imagine you doing something like riding a bike or imagine being lucid etc.. You might start feeling the wind etc. or if you imagined you were lucid dreaming and fell to sleep you might have a DILD.
There's loads of ways to do it just read the tutorials. Hope this helped.

So this was sleep paralysis and other than what snumbers pointed out, after being in sleep paralysis for however long, you could try to get up not with your physical body but with your dream body, becouse your paralysed, if you manage to get up, you've entered a wild. this is yet another technique to get you through sleep paralysis into a wild. There was a tutorial on this somwhere in the forum.

Sounds like the "4 legs" could be part of the "hypnagogic hallucinations" that are common with sleep paralysis. There can be a feeling of "coming out of yourself" like a ghost- which you can really feel. Sometimes people float away, their torso floats up and out of themselves, they fall through the bed, or slide away under the covers. This all happens because your mind switches focus from your actual body to your dream body- sometimes referred to as "astral body". Terminology aside, your mind creates a body of its own when it stops receiving input from the physical one, and that could be why you felt like you had another set of legs.

I often feel really heavy and stiff, kind of like stone too. And it feels like my hand rotates. I can understand what you mean. Four legs thing sounds awesome though.

Well, what I love during this transition phase is that it's like I'm sleeping on a waterbed, feels so comfy
