      ALMOST had a WILD!

I tried to have a WILD this morning, and it almost worked! I was lying in bed relaxed until I felt a wave through my body that told me to roll over. I didn't, and I suddenly felt my body sinking into the bed. I also felt some vibrations through my body. However, just as I was starting to see some hypnagogic images, my eyes suddenly started going apeshit! They were twitching like crazy, and I lost focus. Is that supposed to happen? Is there a way to stop it?

Heya. I can only empathize, not offer advice. I've had that eye thing happen to my twice during my life--once back in college when I was working on self-hypnosis, and the other a few days ago when I was working on a WILD induction.

In both cases, I was coaching myself through the images so as not to get "caught up" in them, and then my eyes seemed to clench down forcefully and my heart started to race. During my WILD attempt nights ago, I calmed myself down but at the same time slipped back into natural waking state. At that point, my adrenaline prevented me from really being able to get a good night's sleep.

I believe it's a stage of self-hypnosis that may or may not overlap with the WILD technique. That's just my speculation; I haven't a clue. Perhaps someone else can enlighten us?

Could you explain what you mean that your eyes "started going apeshit"? Rapid twitching, or more heavy clenching as in my case?

Ive had loads of these like nealy one per day, i feel surges, shocks, waves, sensations etc.
Yesterday when i tried WILDing i felt a very strong shock in my body and my whole mid body just sprang in the air, like about 40cm.

Eye movement like that can occur and in your case it seems it does. As for stopping it, I'm not sure. The only time I ever experienced this was when I tried to FILD and it freaked the bloody crap out of me the first time.

This implies you've watched the Lucidology videos. Just so you know, they're BS.
