      Avoid Swallowing in a WILD?

So I've entered nearly full sleep paralysis countless times, it doesn't take more than 15 minutes or so anymore since I've done it quite a few times. My only real roadblock lately is... Salivation.

My mouth waters quite a bit while I'm attempting a WILD, and no matter how close I may be I HAVE to swallow because it builds up in my throat.

Do any experienced WILDers have any suggestions to combat this? It's the only thing that is really left in my way lately.

      Thanks!

There are a lot of topics on this. Just keep your mouth open, use a pillow, and hope for the best.

There are many topics on this, yes. But I feel that with each topic, new opinions and ideas that may not have been mentioned before can often come up.

My 1# rule is to be comfortable. Being worried of swallowing is going to make you want to swallow. For me at least, I fall asleep faster when I get comfortable as opposed to when I lay still like a brick trying not to move.

In Jeff's Wild Guide, he says to prop your head up so the saliva goes down your throat and isn't an issue. Honestly I think its more of a mind over matter type issue. I need to work on this too, but generally all I have to do is focus.
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

Do you have a problem with this when you fall asleep normally? What about the WILD makes you care about your swallowing?

I would just try not to focus on it, like you normally do when you fall asleep. Swallow if you feel you have to, but don't dwell on it. Try to direct your thoughts back to whatever mental excercise you are doing.

This. This is exactly what I do and I have never had any problems with swallowing during WILD attempts.

I might add that swallowing a little bit is only a big issue if you make it that way, if you stress out and focus on NOT swallowing, it'll mess you up. Just swallow if you need to.
