Thread: Speaking whilst dreaming?

Hello, a small question to ask.
I began my lucid dream this morning as a WILD and as I initiated the process my girlfriend left the room. Halfway into the dream (as I was still aware of my auditory perceptions to a large extent) I mistook the radio for her entering once more and thought (in my dream):
'My, wouldn't it be intriguing to talk to her whilst dreaming?'
Thus, I attempted to speak and I swear I did. I could hear my voice, which was barely audible. Nevertheless, the reality around me began to become a bit hazy as if I was about to wake up so I ceased my attempt. She wasn't however, in the room (as previously mentioned) and when she did come into the room she promptly woke me up.
My question then is this:
Has anyone else succeeded in speaking whilst asleep and is it at all intriguing to answer questions from an altered state of consciousness?
