      WILD focus

I have been trying to WILD for a while, now by waking up after 5 hours of REM sleep in the middle of the night and napping. Yet each time I fall asleep and lose conciousness. I try counting or focusing on an image, but I always end up just automatically stop counting without realizing it and I'm out. Same thing with the image. So I'm just wondering if there are any good focusing techniques out there besides counting. Or do I need to just stop being a pansy and just try even harder. But I have been practicing this for a really long time, and I just can't stay awake. K thnx guys. BTW you all just lost The Game.

Maybe you should stay up a bit longer during your WBTBs? You could also try counting your breaths, or focusing your attention on a fan or white noise.

Instead of an image, try focusing on an imagined feeling of motion. Something tactile and familiar. For example, imagine what it feels like to run down your street, or walk through your house opening doors. Use a memory, not a newly created visualization.
