      Returning Newbie

      Hi All,
I actually joined back in 2008 but life got in the way shortly after. Lately, I've been getting lots of reminders in my email about the forum, so decided it was time to pop back in and get serious about things again.

I've kept dream journals and done dream analysis for quite awhile, so have gotten back to doing that, starting with just recording the dreams with no analysis to increase dream recall. I don't seem to have much trouble with recalling at least one dream a night, but find I must write it down immediately or forget the details.Haven't tried any of the methods to increase the number of dreams recalled yet. If I tell myself to remember my dream before I go to sleep, I remember the last one I have before I wake up.

I started studying Buddhism and practicing Buddhist meditation in the past year, so I'm interested in seeing if that has any impact on my dream recall and dream themes at all.

My current dream sign seems to be changing clothes. Past dream sign have been:

      strange houses
      mobile homes
      I'm driving a strange car
      I have twins
      I am breastfeeding a baby
      I am pregnant/giving birth
      horses

Right now, the mobile homes one might be influenced by real life activities though, as my new hobby is vintage trailer camping, and I've been looking for my own vintage camper to buy, so have been drooling over a lot of vintage mobile homes, lol. I also now HAVE a horse, so that one might not be too reliable anymore either.

Oddly enough, my sister told me she just dreamed that I was pregnant (a physical impossibility now in real life for me, lol). She also told me she has a friend who is pregnant with twins in real life and she was in the same dream as me. I have talked to her about dream analysis and she knows I keep a dream journal, but haven't really talked to her about my dreams per say or my dream sign, so it was an interesting coinky dink.

Hey, welcome back to the forum!

That's really great that you have a list of your dream signs, that's a really huge step towards amazing lucid dreams!

Have you had any lucid dreams yet?

      Again, welcome back!

Thanks for the welcome back everyone!

Although I've had a few lucids and read about them, I am not able to control them well as of yet. That's why I'm starting back at the beginning. My initial interest was in dream analysis, and the lucids just kind of evolved from that, along with my interest in them.My interest in lucids led to my interest in consciousness which led to my interest in Buddhism...

      It's all connected
