      Dying in a dream?

Hi guys.. brand spanking newbie here.
I had a dream, one which I have had before but its like a movie I don't have any control over anything and even though I have different thoughts and feelings through out it rather than the last time I dream it, it always ends up in the same place, and then something else new happens for what appears to be another five minuets or so but have never died until 2 days ago.. Not really
      Ill tell you my dream:
I don't know how I get there but I'm in a train traveling through a jungle..and I'm also a lot younger than I am at the moment, like 5 or 6 and I am with my brother and two people who I'm guessing are my parents the train its wet inside, like someone hosed it out with all our possessions inside, everything is full of old world stuff steam-punk style with antique teak etc. Anyway it gets long winded but in the end I'm falling down this gigantic waterfall in this first person, and I see this ledge coming towards me and as I realize I'm going to hit it my point of view changes and I watch my dream-self get pulverized and bloodied by this ledge (I don't know why but all of my reoccurring dreams consist of something bad happening to me or someone I know) my body gets washed down stream and i don't remember whether or not anyone is upset..then we are in the future and there is a big sound stage and there is a loud and bright concert playing and then I wake up..

Yeah so tell me what u think?
Ive been slowly building up to this part of the dream for about 6 months or so and I also have multiple serial dreams during a night or over a few nights.

When I'm wondering about dream meanings, I like to look up each symbol on dreammoods.com. It's important though to remember that only you can know what your dream means, so take these definitions with a grain of salt. Death is quite a common dream symbol and I often get friends who come up to me freaking out because they saw someone else, themselves, or even me die in their dream. Thankfully so far these dreams don't seem like they tell the future (one of my friends was convinced hers did for a while). You don't sound like you're having a panic attack but just in case you are concerned, there's no need to be. Death in dreams can signify a transitional phase in life, a change. Death in dreams is usually showing a drastic change in habits, patterns, beliefs, etc... But there are also many other things your dream could be communicating to you through the symbolism of death. The way you die is, of course, of tremendous importance. In your case, being crushed could symbolize (to quote dreammoods):
To dream that you are crushing something, denotes that you are under tremendous stress over a decision that you need to make. If you dream that a part of your body is being crushed, then it suggests that you are being prevented to full express yourself.
Try looking up synonyms for the symbols too if the definitions just aren't fitting. The more time you spend thinking about the meanings, the more truth about them you will realize.
      says:
To dream of your own death, indicates a transitional phase in your life. You are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Alternatively, you are trying desperately to escape the demands of your daily life.
      Hope that helps

Welcome to Dreamviews! The idea that "you can't die in your dreams" or "dying in your dreams means you will die in real life" are some of the common misconceptions when it comes to dreaming. I have died several times in my dreams, some on purpose and some accidental. I even became a ghost after chewing exploding gum and being blown to bits, lol. Dying in a dream can be a pretty crazy experience.

Another fairly common theme in dreams is being ignored. Dreammoods says:
To dream that you are ignoring someone or being ignored, represents some aspect of yourself which you are not paying enough attention to. Alternatively, it may reflect your real waking experiences of being ignored by that person.
You could possibly feel that the people who ignored you in your dream aren't paying enough attention to you IRL (in real life). Maybe your dream is letting you know that you feel they wouldn't even notice you if you died, or maybe this is just an overdramatization to allow you to be more easily aware of this problem.

Interesting. When DCs ignore me, I usually get pissed and "get rid of them"...if you know what I mean .

That sounds decently epic. Totally believable, crazy stuff happens on this forum Sometimes if you have a recurring dream it could mean that the issues it presents are important and need to be dealt with.
