      Dream of a Lucid Dream?

Hi there, I'm new to this board and this is my first post... go easy on me, im a noob.

Lately I have been reading all I can on lucid dreams, and have sort of been keeping a dream journal, hadn't even thaught about trying to lucid dream until I could remember at least a few dreams per night.

I THINK I might have had a lucid dream last night, but I am fairly sure I just DREAMED that I had it... if you get what I mean.

I have never remembered another Lucid Dream, so obviously I dont know what its like, so I cant tell.

      This is basically what happened:

It was a day off, and I decided to sleep in, which I dont normally do. Late in the morning, after waking several times before, I began dreaming. In my dream state I thaught 'why not have a lucid dream' and it started. Everything went blank, and what started is what I think may have been a state of mild lucidity.

However, the whole time it felt like a dream, as if whatever I thaught (which was hazy and disorientated, very strange) had no influence on anything.

So what do you reckon? A mild Lucid Dream, or just a warped dream?

Sorry for the excessively long post.

      Thanks.

You probably were in a really low level of lucidity as long as you knew you were dreaming.

It was most likely low-level lucidity. Now, were you actually dreaming, or was it just random shapes? If it was the latter, then it could have been the onset of WILD, which you can find more information about in the Tutorials section. It's easiest to LD in the morning because the longer you sleep the longer REM periods you start to have and the less Non-REM there is.

I've seen longer posts Welcome to DV and I hope you enjoy your stay! Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
