Couple questions for the amateur lucid dreamer

((Meant to call this "Couple questions from an amateur lucid dreamer" oops >_>))

Hi guys, after lurking here for a while I decided to ask a couple questions that I need to get answered.

I'm Sean, I've had one Lucid Dream before and it was after ingesting a legal deliriant, "Belladonna" or "Deadly Nightshade". Though I could not control the dream because all was so realistic that I could not tell I was dreaming.

      - Does smoking marijuana before bedtime effect your chances of lucidity? If so, in a good way or a bad way?

      - If you were chanting "I am going to lucidly dream tonight, someone or something will me remind me that im dreaming" while attempting to fall asleep would it better to chant out loud, or in your head?

      - Can certain positions effect your chances? If so, would sleeping face down with your arms under your pillow effect them in a bad or good way?

      Thanks

Marijuana does affect lucidity, though I believe you should ask Ska or Aquanina, they know much more than I.

In your head, if you go out loud, it will greatly delay sleep. Try doing it during a WILD for best results, in your head.

It is generally agreed that on your back or right side is best for lucidity, as it increases blood flow to certain parts of the brain. But if you CANNOT be comfortable in either position, then no. It was originally odd on my back but now idk how I ever slept before my back.

Thanks for that, hopefully one of them will notice this and let me know about that question.

It is a bit odd to sleep on my back, but if I'm really tired or really baked I can sleep on my back, but if I'm either of those, chances are I'm not going to wake up. Tonight I'm trying the CAN WILD technique (using a timer to wake me up every so often, maybe you've heard of it/tried it) found on lucidology.com .

Yeah I noticed that once I started chanting in my head I'd fall asleep, out loud, well.. I could stay awake for hours. Maybe one day I'll chant out loud for like four hours before bed and then fall asleep and have the most intense & lucid dream I'll ever have

Just a heads-up since we're in the Newbie Zone.

Do not buy anything from his site. Maybe the techniques will work for you but don't buy anything. If it's legit, people will be willing to help you with it freely on here.

      Just some info:

      Smart person.

The only legitimate lucid dreaming information to put money into would be books, if not just for entertainment value. The only book i've seen praised more than once on here is ETWOLD by Stephen LaBerg. I bought it myself and it has a great deal of information that is so scattered around here it would be very very difficult to get.

Even then, you can just go to a library if you don't want to buy it!

Good ole Mary Jane does affect your chances of have lucid dreams. Well it depends if you're a stoner or you occasionally toke. I know that a few months back when I was a stoner smoking up to 6 times daily, I didnt remember a single dream for about 4 and a half months. A week or so after I quit, I started having regular dreams again, and three weeks after that I had my first lucid after gaining a lot of interest in it. Now I'm a couple months sober and dont really feel any want to smoke because my single lucid experience was just so much better than being high. Hope this helps. Happy dreaming!

Yes, Lucidity is way better than any high, because it's not just a trip, it's a positive tirp, and it's real.

I remember my dreams when I chant in my head before dreaming " I will wake up & remember my dream" before sleeping. Other than that, yeah.. I cant remember them. thanks

Better than any high and more of a trip than any real trip. Sounds like I might get addicted to Lucid Dreaming then

Are you keeping a dream journal? That helps immensely. I stopped, but don't listen to me. I'm a bad example. I'm a whore. A post whore. Of 72.4

      Hah, dang, three rhymes.

I have four techniques out if you're interested in them. One is in need of heavy editing though.

Haha yeah dude. And think about it this way. Quit drugs on the outside world, and in your dreams you can invent any drug you want and trip exactly how you want. Risk free. =) And I'm sure a lot more fun.

SP is my form of drug.

Strobe lights, noises, spinning, full-body orgasms (yes, it's possible... WITH NO CLEANUP! LMAO)

Thats actually a good idea Mkingsley, hopefully I can lose my addictions.
Have either of you conquered a fear through lucid dreaming? How intense was this fear? Or do you know someone that has?

My bestfriend conquored his fear of drowning by riding on a whales back throughout the ocean. And I really want to get over my fear of public speaking. I mean, I'm a confident guy one on one or with friends, but when its 45+ people, I'm shittin my pants lol

Use your envy to increase your skills in dream recall & lucid dreaming, or anything of the sort.

Riding on a whales back throughout the ocean, hahahahaha, once I obtain lucidity over 10 times, I'll make a tasklog.. that's going to be one of my tasks.

The #1 task I want to acheive is creating & controling a tital wave. And flying with it over the ocean and watching it and helping it grow. Idk why I always daydream about doing such things lol ...then maybe destroy a communist country with it hahaha jk..

I'm going to begin my attempt soon.

The timer is set at intervals of

45,35,25,25,20,20,20,10,20,25, & then 25 from thereon in. (minutes)

      I will report back if I have any OBE's / LD's tonight!

      Holy crap man.

I just wake up naturally and note it, going to sleep consciously in under five seconds. You awake about a dozen times a night.
