Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night? I wake up 3-5 times a night, right after my dreams. So later in the night, 4AM or later(when my REM cycles are close together), when I wake up, I do a DEILD/WILD. Kind of a Deild. I wake up, glance quickly at my clock, if it's later than 3-4, I lay there, and within a minute usually I enter SP and then a dream. I now have 4 WILDS, three nights in a row!!!
You probably don't wake up during the night, though. And like me, you probably can't get up in the middle of the night for an hour to do WBTB. So maybe do RCs alot, and you will hopefully have a DILD.
One of my WILDs was WBTB on the weekend. I got up at 4, went to the bathroom, got a drink. and laid back down. I had to lay 20-30 minutes to get to SP. I have tried probably 15 other times, and 'sort of' got to SP after over an hour. I don't like WBTB. But DEILD/WILDs are easy now that I wake up a lot.

If you can't/don't want to get up in the middle of the night, I'd go with a DILD/MILD hybrid, and possibly even VILD. Do RC's, and combine them with plenty of awareness. Realize that at any moment in the day, you could be dreaming. As you read this post, you could be dreaming. In fact, you probably are. Do a reality check.

Depending on your preferences, I'd go with either a mantra or a VILD before you fall asleep. Either repeat a phrase that holds meaning (meaning being the key word), or try to imagine the desired dream scenario. More on VILD's can be found here.

Ultimately, it is up to you to develop a method that works with your day-to-day life. DILD/MILD/VILD are great if you don't have a lot of time to wake up, and WILD is nice if you find waking up in the middle of the night to be easy. Just about any method will get you lucid if you stick with it...it's just a matter of patience. Everybody has a knack for something, and for you, it may very well be WILD, in which case you would see results much faster. However, if this doesn't work with your current lifestyle, you may very well be better off going with a different method.
