      Cant fall asleep

I've seen the guides to becoming lucid, and a lot of them say,
Set your alarm x hours after yOu fall asleep.
My problem is, it takes me ages to fall asleep.

How do you guys fall asleep?
I also want to know this just so i can get moar sleep.

Hello Kethuel. I know a lot of people like to have a specific routine to do before bed. Some people like to shower before bed, but that usually makes me wake up instead of making me become drowsy. Avoid using electronics before bed, reading would be a good idea. Meditation might be worth a shot.

A friend of mine has insomnia, but if he is very active throughout the day, he'll be able to fall asleep more easily.

Would you care to share your usual routine before bed? When you try to sleep, do you feel physically or mentally awake?

Masturbation, showering, drinking warm liquids, expending built up energy, mantras, meditation, and visualization.

You are describing the WBTB technique,
If you are struggling to fall back to sleep reduce the time you are awake after the alarm goes off. If you are still struggling, try listening to some relaxing music or turn the TV on and listen to that as you drift off.
