      Hello Everyone

I just discovered this site today. I have always been a very vivid dreamer since I was a child. I occassionally sleep walk, as well as talk in my sleep frequently. I usually do remember my dreams as I have had several reoccuring ones through the years. Often times my dreams are so realistic that I do not realize that I am dreaming until I have woken myself up. Sometimes if I have a nightmare I wake up in a sweat and it will take me several minutes to realize that I was dreaming. For example last night I had about 3 dreams, the last involving my teeth, which I recently had dental work performed on. I woke up for a split second at the end, touched my teeth and went back to sleep.

After reading many of your posts I have decided to start a dream journal and attempt to achieve lucidity. I am looking forward to practicing some of the mentioned techniques for controlling my dreams. I am excited to see what the outcome will be.

This happens to me too. I'm so into a dream that when I am eventually woken up, I'm lost and have no idea where I am. I takes me a while to realize I was in my bedroom and I was asleep the whole time.

Hopefully your familiarity with your vivid dreams will make it easier to become lucid. Many people don't even remember their dreams.
