1. Is it necessary to have a dream journal? Dream journals help you train yourself to remember your dreams. With practice, your recall will improve, which makes it seem like your dreams are improving. They are also a good resource to look back on for inspiration, identifying dream signs, or tracking your progress.
2. What's a good, easy, reality check? I like to count my fingers. It is, in no way, a foolproof reality check, but it helps me focus on my body. I also like to go over my recent memories, checking to make sure they make sense. How did I get here? Is this familiar? Who are these people? ect...
3. What's a dream guide? Anyone with a green name, like me! A dream guide can be any character in your dreams with whom you feel an important connection. Some people have recurring characters who help them. Depending on your beliefs, this can even be a spiritual connection.
4. Can you really do anything in a lucid dream? You can do anything you can imagine, and more. Even in the most stable lucid dream, your thoughts can still be wonky. It may be difficult to do the simplest things, but easy to perform epic feats of awesomeness.
5. About how long before I can lucid dream? (I've never done it before) You can do it tonight! Spend the rest of the day doing reality checks and thinking of lucid dreaming. Tonight, do a short Wake Back To Bed with a MILD. Check out this tutorial:
