Can't really seem to have any dreams.

Hey, people! I just recently started keeping a DJ, but I cannot remember a dream at all. I have specifically tried waking up during a REM period, but still, nothing. I took a leaf out sombody's book and started doing a written summary of my day yesterday, but I only recalled a very minor thing (which was actually breaking a pinąta). So, any other specific suggestions? I did read the tutorials, but I think I should read them again.

      Thanks for any help

Your dream recall may not be that good when you first keep a dj but will improve. You could also tell yourself 'i will remember my dreams' but doubt will destroy any hopes of this working.

Yeah, something that helped me when I first was getting into dreams was when I'd go to sleep I'd count, "1, I will remember my dreams, 2 I will remember my dreams, etc..." It actually really helped.

Also, when you're first waking up try staying in the same position you were when you were sleeping. A lot of the time people forget their dreams immediately after moving from sleep. Stay in the same position and focus about what you were dreaming about. Keep your dream journal close to your bed so you can just reach for it when you wake up.

Even if you can't remember the dream you just had, try writing down how you feel upon waking. If you feel like you are forgetting something, like you didn't finish what you were doing, happy, sad, etc. Write it down. Get in this habit and I'm sure you'll start to remember your dreams soon.

      Good luck!

Take those little things and extrapolate.

You remember breaking a pinata. What colour was the pinata? What tool were you using? What came out of the pinata? Where was it located? Why were you breaking it?

Ask simple questions of minor details first, then expand with more complicated ones in attempt to put together a story. Soon you'll find that the details will come back to you and you'll remember more and more.
