      Hello All

      Hello everyone

I'm so glad I found this website. It gives me hope that someone maybe able to give me an answer to something I've been wondering about for awhile. I'm n the habit of having a nap during the day as I find it easier to have a lucid dream. Just recently as I drop off I get this strange vibration that starts in my head and runs through my body in waves. It's almost like an electrical current. When this happens I've learned it means I'm asleep and lucid. What I want to know is does anyone know what this weird vibration is and does or has anyone else experienced this? Look forward to any answers or ideas you may have.

Oh yes, fairly common! What you're doing with your lucid naps is known here as a WILD- wake-initiated-lucid-dream. It's where you go from being awake straight into a dream. Many people report strange sensations when they get to the boundary between sleep/dreams. Some get vibrations like you, some feel like they're rolling around or floating, there's a whole variety. Welcome to the forum!

Thank you for the reply. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that gets this.

Yup, you definitely aren't the only one who's experienced HH (hypnogogic hallucinations). I've even heard that pretty much everyone has/will experience it at least once in their lifetime, but only a few people are lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) enough to get it frequently and easily.

Hi! Welcome to Dreamviews! By the way, you have more luck with HI (Hypnagogic Imagery) than I do, so congrats with that. It's a pretty common way to induce lucid dreams.

I do consider myself quite lucky when this happens as it's not something I've had to learn. It makes lucid dreaming so much easier. It happens so frequently now that I find myself feeling disappointed when it doesn't.
