      Hi there, I'm new!

Hi, my name is Alexandra and I live in Australia. I have been lucid dreaming since I was a small child, but have been out of the habit for some years now. Finding this forum (through google) has made me really excited about getting back into my dream world, and I have bought some turmeric for tonight in the hope I can lucid dream again. I may try the May challenge and see how I go. I am really enjoying reading everyone's posts, and hope I can contribute something too!
      Cheers, VirtualAlex

Have you had success with tumeric in the past? I've never tried it.

No I have never tried turmeric before - my brother (also a lucid dreamer) suggested it, and since I havent had many lucid dreams in the last few years, i thought it might help me back into the habit. I did have a prelucid episode yesterday morning - I had to get up at 5.45 and at 5.41 woke up and turned off my alarm for a few more precious moments (IRL) then I heard my mum outside my door, but I knew it wasnt really her as she was asleep, and it was just dawning on me that I had slipped directly into a dream when I jolted awake for fear of being late. Dont know if it was the turmeric (seems rather a long time after I took it for that) or a psychological response to having been on these forums. But I dont have to get up tomorrow so I will try again!
My 7 year old daughter can "control her dreams" so she says, I presume this means she can lucid dream too - maybe it is genetic because I have never told her how to do it!
