      Post Will this work?

Hey, New to dreamviews and LD in general. A few things I would like to say.

Firstly, I have not experienced a LD but I have had about 6 EILD's that I can remember off of the top of my head. But I didn't seem to care, if only I knew of LD's back then.

Secondly, I have an idea about a RC. I have read several different kinds of RC but not this one. You know in all of the old fairy tales they say pinch yourself when your dreaming, well do you think that would actually work?

Lets say I randomly do it about the day saying "Am I dreaming?" and then pinch myself.

Do you guys think that will work? Post responses please!

      Hello,

pinching yourself does not work. You feel exactly the same feeling in your dream as when you're awake. Here's a list of things you can do and some general information: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=95033
You had the "am i dreaming?" question right though. It's important to not just mindlessly do a reality check, you really need to acknowledge the possibility that you may be dreaming. Anyway, good luck!

Actually, Hot Chocolate, a lot of people feel no pain in dreams.
But, a lot of people don't feel pain. So it is still not very reliable method. But still... Just sayin'

I guess it's personal then, as with most things. Still I have more faith in the nose pinch reality check.

Hot chocolate is right, pinching yourself is not the best reality check, but honestly reality checking normally isnt the thing that makes you lucid, its the actualy questioning of reality. In all of my lucid dreams I have become lucid first then reality checked to confirm it.

      ^Probably
