Note:
As the following Text may appear confusing, I will separate my dreams using colors. (Yay.)
Hey,
Im kinda new to Lucid Dreaming, however, I used to have random LDs when I was younger. Now the weird thing was, although my dream-self said "This is a dream, I dont have to do shit!", nothing happened and the dream carried on. There was only one time when I was able to actually control my dream, sadly even that one was a mess. I was in my elementary school, in my class, when I noticed that the furniture was completely different and that one chair was on the ceiling (Dunno why.). Then I just jumped on my chair, started to kinda glide around the room. the people in the room kind of disappeared and everything started to shake. After gliding a few feet, everything went white and I dont remember any further than that. Note that the whole dream was mute, which is not normal for my dreams. I also had a two other lucid dreams, both being very short. One was that I was alone with like, 6 chicks in bikinis on the upper part of my two-story-bed (I was around 6 years old back then, so I didnt have any perverted thoughts. I simply complained to them how much I hate my teacher for giving me so much homework. Curse my innocent self.). My Mom then walked in (in the dream) and said something about having to wake up, and the dream ended. The third and last lucid dream I had was about me being in a rather big house in a jungle-like terrain, and there was a person with a box. I opened the box and different kinds of animals came out of it and jumped out of the window, into the woods. The person then said that I had to help him/her to get the animals back, whereas I answered "This is a dream, I dont have to do anything!". The dream then ended. Another semi-lucid dream was that me and my parents were in a room I couldnt recall ever seeing, we were all dressed up, and suddenly we all started hiding beneath the furniture. I was too slow and noticed that a dog came in. The scene then jumped to two men in tuxedos in another room. The dog walked towards them, with a piece of raw meat in his mouth. For some reason I knew the meat was me. The men then smiled and the dream stopped. Note that I had this dream MANY times until I got older. As I aged, those dreams stopped and I started to rarely being able to recall my dreams. I havent had anything close to the Classroom-Dream in at least 5 years. Note that I am 15 right now, soon 16.
Anyways, like half a year ago I learned about Lucid Dreaming and started to try and do it myself. Back then I thought that frequent RC's were the only way, of course now Ive read about WILD and co. Ive attempted LD for almost half a month, and then forgot about it. Note that I didnt succeed.
Now Im trying to get back into it, mostly to see what my mind could produce if I confront it with certain components.
So, to get to the point, which technique should I use to learn LD? I cannot rely on my family helping me, neither can I use an alarm clock. I cant imagine how I would go about even estimating when I have my REM. I rarely remember my dreams, but when I do, I can usually recall them even weeks later, as I like to think about them when Im bored in the school bus. I'd simply prefer the easiest yet most reliable way there is.
Thanks,
RS
