New here.. Got my story and some questions!

      Hello everyone!

So my story, it's a little bit fussy because I can't remember exactly. But here goes:
When I was a kid I used to have nightmares alot. I'm not sure if it was a during a period of time or if it was every night. But I had very weird and scary nightmares which all ended by me waking up, covering myself with the cover/blanket and crying for my mom. She woke me up.

I remember once when playing SNES at a friends house, there was a boss who had snakes in her hair. I think it has to do with some mythology. Anyway when I went home I imagined her chasing me. The night after I had dream about hands with 3 fingers sticking out from the floor.
Another time I had a dream about playing in a parking space with some trees around, with ladders so I could climb up. There was a squeaking(my window in the room was open and made a noise because of the wind) there was also a voice saying "The witch is coming" but in my language(Swedish). I did my routine to stop it, covering myself and calling for mom. I wasn't even ten years old.

So I'm 24 years now and I have noticed that I sometimes realize I'm dreaming, sometimes I wake up and then falls back to sleep remembering my dream and going back to the same dream. I think I may even have had dreams about dreaming. I found out about Lucid Dreaming earlier today.

I can still have bad dreams and good dreams, not long ago I felt paralyzed in a dream. I had no control afaik. After that dream, another night i had a dream about being chased by first one weird character, I had a gun and a sword fighting back but could only stop the character for a moment to escape. Then as if it was another dream there where two similar character of the same kind, but i woke up. Had no weapons this time.

The dream last night was odd, in it I woke up because it felt like something crashed into the house

Can this end? If not, how can I become good at controlling my dreams so that I do not have to wake up scared? Is there a shorter road to take? I'm guessing no.

      Sorry for the long rant.

I can't help you with your problem as I have never (that I know of) returned to a dream after waking and falling back asleep. I can tell you that the SNES game you are talking about is Castlevania IV, and that snake haired woman is Medusa The only suggestion I have is trying a mantra while going to bed, or if you wake up from a nightmare, trying the mantra before you fall back asleep. Just confidently repeat something to yourself such as "I can control my dreams", or "I have the power to banish evil in my dreams". Those are actually kind of crap, but I'm sure there are better ones online somewhere, probably even on the forums. I know it sounds corny, but the dreamworld is like the the movie 'the Matrix', we are only as strong or weak as we believe we are. Again, sorry for the corny example. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck.

That's the game yes, I remember my friend was playing it. I preferred to watch. I used to have a good way to deal with nightmares. I thought a lot about two things I liked the most.. Candy and Turtles (Teenage mutant ninja turtles). So that was my dream a couple of times.

I just woke up now, had no dreams tonight as far as I can remember. I'll read more about LD later today, maybe I'll try something tonight.
