      Exclamation Newbie. Crazy dreams!!

So I am new to this...But I had a dream last night that totally freaked me out...it's a little graphic but i seriously need some help with this one...

Something big happened and I cant remember what it was...but it was pretty bad...I remember how i felt...i shot myself in the back of the head after this event...how i did that i have no idea...but i didnt die...I didn't gush blood like normal...it was just like a slow drip but i could feel the hole and i was in intense pain...I never went to the hospital...the only place i went was church...the odd this is that no one but my mom asked what happened...i was carrying around a bloody towel to continuously wipe the drip...I can still feel the pain...and the smell was horrible...my hair was all matted around the hole...i left church because the pain was too much...the only time it subsided was when i layed a towel down and layed flat on my back with the hole covered...i cried the whole time...i woke up expecting to have a hole in the back of my head...instead i just have a very intense headache....

      can anyone help with this???

You most likely got the headache while you were asleep and your dream translated that into a wound in the dream world. That is pretty gruesome, I hate dreams that aren't fun Hope your head feels better soon.

That's crazy! Have you started a dream journal yet?

That's a likely explanation. It's not uncommon for dreams to reflect what's going on in the real world, including things that are going on with our own bodies.

If that happens again, try to wake yourself up. You may not be thinking rationally in your dream, but try to consider the possibility that you're dreaming if something that strange happens again. You'd think we'd notice strange things like that when they're going on, and yet we don't. I hope you don't have to repeat this experience again.

That is what you call a nightmare! One of the worst I have read so far on Dream Views. A good reason to lucid train! You know what? In real life many people get shot in the head and live. Some are able to function long enough to kill their attackers. Your nightmare, as horrible as it was, and by some stretch of the imagination, is remotely possible. I have felt extreme pain in my dreams that lingered into being awake, but not a headache as far as I remember. Once I lucid trained, I became able to "switch off" pain like turning off a light.

Definitely start keeping a dream journal. You will be happy you did later!
