      My first try.

So this night, when i went to bed at about 23:30, i attempted to do a WILD .i knew it probably wouldn't work in the evening, but i wanted to try.
So I went in bed and i laud there without moving a muscle, my body started feeling pretty heavy after a while, but I didn't hear any sounds. I have read that white noise is good, so I left my window open and i heard card riding in the distance. I was very scared for the time I laid there, about 40 minutes total. The least sound I heard scared me a lot and when my ceiling made a loud cracking noise, I didn't move but I'm pretty sure it wasn't good for my heart lol. Also at a certain moment I had the feeling my heart went faster but it was probably because i was so scared. The thing that frightened me so much was because i have read a lot of people had very bad experiences in the SP while they can't move, and i was just so afraid
When I laid there for about 20-30 minutes, I wasn't sure if i was still fully awake, or if my body was in SP, but because i didn't know what to do, i didn't move. I had no itches or urges to move whatsoever anymore. When I finally got the courage to open my eyes, I saw nothing special, just a lot of darkness in my room. so i kept staring into it. I closed my eyes again, still doing reality checks, and thinking about "i will know when i am dreaming" but it was still very hard because i was so distracted of my fear.
When I finally decided to try and move my leg, it worked, I wasn't sure if i was dreaming or it was real yet, so i did reality checks, and i concluded that i was fully awake. but still very afraid!
Also, during the whole 40 minutes, I moved excessively with my eyes. i just COULD NOT keep them still.

I think I was in the early stage of SP, and i think that because my body really felt heavy, a lot more than normal.

I think if i tried this at 05:00,and kept my eyes still, it might have worked.

I also set my alarm to 05:00, to try WBTB, so when my alarm went off, i took a drink i have placed there intentionally before i went to bed. then i went back in my bed and i dont remember a lot from there on, i think i just fell asleep, even the drinking was really not clear, i wasn't awake enough i think.

Maybe I should try the routine timer? that keeps waking me up every x minutes until i get to SP?

I am not a good writer and my english is also not very good so thanks for reading
any suggestions or things you want to comment? please help me

ps: next time i wont keep my window open, so no white noise for me it's still too creepy atm, the only thing it does it scares me and i don't think this is good when trying to relax.

I replied to your other post, but wasn't able to give a lot of information. I'm definitely not an expert with WILD, but I have a little advice I can give you.

With white noise, that's usually the sound of an electric fan, of nature sounds, and other sounds that remain fairly constant and aren't random. White noise usually helps to cancel out other distracting noises, so keeping your window open and hearing the cars go by might not help (as you found out) You don't have to have something to listen to when you're trying to WILD, but if you do, try to make sure it's relaxing. The whole idea is to relax.

The thing that frightened me so much was because i have read a lot of people had very bad experiences in the SP while they can't move, and i was just so afraid
Everyone goes into sleep paralysis when they dream. It's completely natural. However, not everyone wakes up to find themselves in SP. People trying to WILD might be more likely to experience it, but it's harmless. If you do go into SP, just relax. Remind yourself that there's nothing wrong and nothing's going to hurt you. You're just falling asleep and going into a dream. It may seem scary, but if you think about it like a dream, you'll understand that there's nothing to be scared of. You'll be fine. If for some reason you are still scared, talk to some people who have gone through SP and hear what they've said and how they deal with it.

I think if i tried this at 05:00,and kept my eyes still, it might have worked.
Probably. When you first fall asleep, you spend more time not dreaming, but as the night goes on, our cycles switch and we spend more and more time dreaming. That's why you're more likely to recall dreams in the morning rather than in the middle of the night. I'd recommend sleeping a few hours first before trying to WILD.

Maybe I should try the routine timer? that keeps waking me up every x minutes until i get to SP?
It might help some people, but it doesn't make sense to me. A timer like that would stress me out, personally and keep me from falling asleep because I would be waiting for it to go off.

My main piece of advice would be to not give up. I don't know how long you have been trying to LD, but give it time. Also, if WILD isn't working for you, try another method. Different methods work better for different people, so find what works for you.

      Hey, Amé,
      thanks for the reply.
I really read a lot about this kind of stuff the last 2-3 days, and then I mean at least 5 hours a day. I also do a lot of reality checks during the day, so i hope this will help me get a LD really soon.
So after my experience that night, I decided to keep my window closed, and what i also do is keep my socks on in bed.
The next day, yesterday, I tried to make a WILD during the day, so i went to bed, making sure I don't move except for my eyes, which I cannot control very good yet, but it did went better than the night before, for some reason, so I think this will not be a problem anymore soon. I also assume it is okay for the eyes to move as long as it is not for too long, and not too much, while trying to get in a WILD?
Ok, so i was laying in my bed for a while, motionless, i didn't check the time before i went to bed, but I estimate I laid there for about 30 minutes.
While laying there, I did a few things in my head like repeating, "I will know when I sleep", "I have to do reality checks", i also did the alphabet, and for every letter i imagined something thet started with that letter. I also tried to imagine my room, and focus on what I hear. After the 30 minutes have passed, I gave up. I Started moving, I opened my eyes and did some reality checks.
During the rest of the day, I kept doing some reality checks, and I went to bed between 22:30-23:30.
Before I went to bed, I set 4 alarms on my Ipod, the first one went off at 05:00, there my plan was to do a WBTB and also remembering my dreams and write them down, so i woke up, tried to open my eyes but it was very hard. I drank some water that was already in my room, and I went back to bed. I didn't remember any dreams. I almost fell asleep immediately. Then my next alarm went off 15 minutes later, at 05:15. I heard it but I fell asleep 1 second after hearing it. The plan was to try a WILD at this alarm, the previous one was to make me expect the second one... so i won't shock and actually move, and so ruining a chance to WILD, but I didn't do any of that, i just slept... Then the next alarm was set at 06:00, This was for practicing my dream recalling, I hear the alarm go off, but I didn't remember any dream. So I continued sleeping again. I have to admit I didn't try hard to remember anything here. So I went back to sleep, waiting for the last alarm. The one to actually wake me up at 07:00 and get ready for the day. Because of the other alarms, I ignored this one and overslept a little.

I was a little disappointed when I woke up, because I couldn't remember any dreams, so I went to school to do my exam, and in the middle of the exam, for some reason. I suddenly remembered lots of loose parts from my dream. I stopped with what I was doing and Thought of my dream for 2 minutes.
I couldn't manage to remember my whole dream, but I do am satisfied with what I've got. I now have the feeling that I am progressing closer towards lucid dreaming.
I just finished writing down everything that I could remember from the dream, It is quite fun, keeping a dream journal.

All I have to do now, today, is figure out what I will do tonight, keep doing some reality checks occasionally, and in about 2 -3 hours, I am going to try a WILD again (between 14:00-15:00)

Also I might try this for the night:
I will choose different sounds for every alarm I set.
And I also put a legend next to my bed, and when I hear a certain alarm sound, I look on the legend next to my bed what I have to do at that alarm, because it is all very hard to rememberin the middle of the night.
This is what i might make it like:
      05:00
      1. Try to remember what I dreamed. Write it down immediately.
      2. Get out of bed.
      3. Turn on my computer, check my mails, check some sites, and maybe also drink something.
      4. Go back to bed.
      5. Think about reality checks in the upcoming dream.
      06:00
      1. Don't move (this one i have to remember but it will be easier because i set a custom alarm sound for it.) and try a WILD
      06:45
      1. Sit straight in bed, turn on lights, and think about what I have just dreamed.
      2. If I remember something, write it down.
      3. Sleep.
      07:00
      1. Turn on lights, sit straight.
      2. Write down dreams if any.
      3. Wake up.

That's quite a schedule you have! Make sure that you're not getting stressed out over waking up so many times. Also, don't feel like these are the exact times you have to get up and do those things. You can move some of the times if you feel something might work better. Also, I've heard of other peoples' eyes moving when they're trying to WILD. I don't know if some have managed to get them to stop, but I think most of them just relax and get used to it.

It's funny how you can remember a dream in the middle of the day when you can't in the morning. It's good that you're seeing your progress and I know you'll continue to make progress. One thing that might help is if you wake up and don't move for a little bit. Just lay there and try to recall your dream. Often, when you start moving you'll start forgetting the dream. Don't lay there too long or you might fall back asleep, but try to recall as much as you can and then write it down. It could help

I failed again tonight, I could only remember 1 dream. (That makes 2 dreams over 3 nights)
Hopefully I finally get a success tonight.

      i count 1 dream as 0.5 because i don't remember a lot from it.

You're definitely on the right track. I've found that the more times I wake up, the more likely it is that I'll have lucids.

      Good job.

Dont stop yet, we´re on the same path!

I´ve been trying for 5-6days and had my first lucid dream yesterday evening and my second 2 hours ago, while napping.

      Goodluck!

Last night was my first night trying and i definitely understand about the heart racing thing. I just moved in to a new house, so all the noises the house makes are still very new to me and actually was pretty scary when trying to be so still. I hope we will be able to LD soon ^.^

      FUCK YEAH VIBRATIONS

i just tried a WILD, after about 25 minutes, i started to feel vibrations, it was like i was riding on a bumpy road. and it lasted only for about 10-15 seconds.
I think i got too excited, but after the vibrations, i couldnt concentrate anymore so i have up.

also, when it fails like that, can i just keep lying still and hope for getting my concentration again, or should i start all over then?
