Been there and done that. I'm fairly new to these things aswell. My guess is that your dream were built up by what you have learned to expect by reading about LD.
The first night after i begun to read about all this, i searched all my dreams for signs that i was dreaming. I remember one clearly as nothing else; a paper roll in the woods. I picked it up and yelled "I am dreaming!". But now afterwards, i can tell that it wasn't lucid dreaming at all. Have had more dreams like this, where i had to ask myself the next day -"..Was that really a lucid dream?".
But i guess once again, that if you truly do dream lucid, you shouldn't have to ask yourself if it was a lucid dream or not.

no idd, I think also that if you have a real lucid dream that you instantly will recognize it if you wake up from it.
Because the feeling must be different from what we have experienced :p
