Talking I Had My First Lucid Dream!

It's been 3 days since I started training on Lucid Dreaming. For two nights, I had regular dreams. But last night, (I'm pretty sure at least) I had my first Lucid Dream! It went like this:
My two brothers are about to leave: Kevin and Mark. "Wait! Kevin! Before you leave hook up the Wii! I want to play!" *Kevin Hooks up Wii* I start playing (I think) but suddenly I appear in a huge circular racing track. I'm running with my sister (Sandra) and a hole bunch of people from school. So I'm running but then I suddenly pause and ask myself, "Am I dreaming?" and the I pinch my nose. I can breath! "I'm lucid dreaming! Sandra! I'm lucid dreaming!" Sandra says "Me too!" But then everything starts fading to black, I get scared. My dream is ending! So I "spin" and I appear at my house. I walk down the stairs and start flying. I'm so happy! I go to my back yard and start flying. I try to create a new setting, but I can't. The only fantasy thing I can do is fly. I run to my room where Sandra is. Then I wake up.

It's funny, my brother doesn't even have a Wii but I constatly find my self having dreams about me playing with his "Wii"

Congratulations! Don't worry, each night you can keep practicing your dreams.
To change locations, I just find a door, even if I just walked out of it, and say "Behind this door is...(where I want to go)"
Of course, I've only had 2 lucids, so maybe you want to get someone with more experience.

I dont know why but I find it unsettling to meet people you know in real life in your dreams. They always do something creepy like look at me and start this horrific screeching and their mouth grows into a five foot wide whole, Or they will be sitting in a corner and I will go to ask them something and they will turn their head around slowly completely backwards and they wont have a face. Creepy stuff.

      That IS weird, but...

that has nothing to do with the topic.

Lol sorry. Just didn't feel like creating a whole new topic for it. And the fact he mentioned his brother made me think of that.

That is a pretty good first LD! I still rarely spin to save my dream, it all happens too quickly! Ha, your brother "has" a WII. LOL, I see a small non-intentional joke type thing wrapped up in that .
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Congrats, I had my first last night, also after 3 nights! I was also flying around in my back garden like you. Did you get an odd tingling sensation as you became lucid? This happened to me but I cant really describe it.

Hmmm, I do kind of remember feeling a little weird. But I don't really remember that well. That's funny, we did the same things in our first lucid dreams!

Did you find that the later in the day the less you could recall? In the morning i "knew" that it was really realistic now it seems quite undetailed and Ive forgotten the little bits. I hope Im able to do it again tonight

Yes, I can only remember the major parts. And it seems less real now. Every since I was introduced to lucid dreaming I've been excited for night to come! I hope I can do it again and this time I want to last longer and do more stuff! I can't wait for ---->

Same here! I never can wait to go to bed so I can dream . I wish I could skip the long time it takes for me to fall asleep! Especially since I've been working on something in my LD's lately...

Yeah, I've tried counting my self to sleep like people advise me to (1, I am dreaming, 2, I am dreaming, ...) but it never works. I count all the way up 200 something and I'm still not even sleepy! What are you working on?

I usually just suck it up. Counting is SO boring and doesn't help. Making myself think about getting to sleep doesn't get me to sleep! I just let my mind wander. Lately, I've been sorting out LD fantasies in my head while I am trying to fall to sleep. It's been about "motorcycle dude" lately. What I do in the fanasy hasn't happened yet, but I have tried to summon him in my LD this morning...with an odd faliure.

Me too, I wouldn't worry, I remember one, I did a reality check and became lucid but then woke up right that second. Other than that i couldn't recall any more dreams. Best of luck for next time you sleep

I just tried the counting thing and boy on average it gets real weird around the number 60 for me. Around 60 My mind starts randomly thinking about other things, I'll forget numbers and drift into a dream. Tried twice and both times the same thing happened. And it was much easier to get lucid. The second time I did it I basically said once I start forgetting how to count I will open my eyes. And when I did open my eyes I was in a dream.

Lucky! I wish that worked for me. The best way for me to fall asleep is to just think about everything and anything until I fall asleep.
