You should focus on your recall first. What's the point of being lucid and not remembering it ? |

I'd throw in my vote for checking out DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream) first, but I'd also take a look at MILD (Mneumonic Induced LD) and even WILD (Wake Induced LD) just to get an idea of some of the different techniques people use. I'd recommend starting with the first two and try them for at least a week or two to see if you notice progress, but if it's not helping, try something else. Also, feel free to ask questions as they arise, or just search the forum to see if you can find the answers you're looking for. We have a lot of information already posted, so go ahead and browse |

K thanks guys. I'll start with DILDs and MILDs then. Maybe WBTB but I'm still confused by that |

WBTB is kind of a "supplemental technique" that goes along with DILD, MILD, etc. Basically you're waking up after 4-5 hours, preferably after REM, and staying awake for a short time to prepare yourself to dream and become lucid. You're trying to wake your mind up a bit, but not your body so that you can fall asleep but hopefully be more aware when you fall asleep. It's good to use the time awake to do things such as recording your dreams, doing reality checks, reading posts at DV, and other things to help you prepare yourself to realize that you're dreaming. |

Yeah, work on recalling, start a journal. |

"It is better to travel well than to arrive." - Buddha
Ya tell me about it. I just got back for cross country trip to California, I wish I traveled well. So WBTB would be good once I get started with DILDs and MILDs? I'm also interested in DEILDs but they look hard |

Doesn't souls like it's my kinda thing. Thanks anyway though |
