      Greetings from the UK!

      Hello there!

I've been a lurker for around a month now and have finally decided to register and hopefully become a member of the community.

I'm 17 years old and live in Cambridgeshire. I'm currently about to enter year 13 and study for my A2s.

I've been interested in LDs since I found this website on Google and hearing Tom from Kasabian mention it in an interview! For the past month, I've been trying to get my dream recall to a good level. However, I have to admit, it's pretty terrible. I remember remembering dreams first thing, thinking about writing it down, and then my half-concious mind just saying "Nahh... I'll remember this. It's way too vivid!".

Anyone got any tips for this?

      Hi!

I'm in UK, too. As you'll see to your left I'm Scottish.

Anyways. Yea, the thing is, you always think you will remember it. But really, it is common to forget it easily. You need to actively and fully consciously think about the dream, so that it stays with you the rest of your day in your conscious mind.

The best way to do that is to write it down. Easy way to do it is to immediately write down any key words, etc. then you can later write it fully.
You could use DreamViews' Dream Journal System to write it. Just click "Create New Post" and type it up. Put any tags in (Like, keywords of the dream), then chose a category(s), then hit submit.
(You don't need to put in tags or chose category, but most people like to do it. And you will benefit from it later, especially from the tags)

I seem to wake up for a bit after a dream, remembering it all really well, and then fall back to sleep. Waking up after that, I forget almost all of it, bar some key words. I've only successfully written down one dream so far. All of the others, something in my mind says it's too vivid to remember.

      Practice makes perfect!

what i think you should do wheather u think you will remember your dream or not, is to write it down just incase you forget again. when you wake up for a little bit after your dream just tell yourself to write down key facts so you can trigger your memory about that dream, itl help your issue with remembering.
