      R.I.P. Lee Brunsman

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified a woman who was killed Saturday in an early morning seven-car crash on Interstate 4 in Seminole County.
The crash occurred about 1:25 a.m. on I-4 near State Road 436, the Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a four-door Pontiac traveling east in the center lane swerved. It then struck a Dodge pickup from behind. Investigators said the pickup spun counterclockwise and struck the Pontiac on its left side.
The two vehicles then smashed into the center guardrail, troopers said. They then crossed the inside lane and caused a melee in which seven vehicles eventually became involved.
The driver of one of those vehicles, Lee Brunsman, 29, of Sanford, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Officials said that only Brunsman and her passenger were hospitalized in connection with the crash, which involved more than a dozen commuters. Brunsman's car was the fifth car to become involved in the chain-reaction crash.Investigators say charges are pending in the crash.

I know that none of you knew her, but a good friend of mine died last night in a car accident. I don't even have a real reason for posting this thread, I just thought that, since I spend so much time here, I would represent her. And for those of you who are religious, and could spare the effort, please say a prayer for her boyfriend, one of my best friends (and her passenger in the car). Physically, he suffered a broken sternum, but I know that this whole thing has hurt him so much more deeply than that...I just hope he works his way through this...

      That is all...

Lee was a really good friend of mine, and I just can't believe she is no longer here. I'm not even sure what I want to say... I just know my heart aches at the thought of never seeing her smiling face again! I love you Lee Lee!

Wow. I didn't expect to hear from someone who actually knew her. If you were a friend of her's, Lindsey, you know what a great person she was. I'm still kind of in shock over it.

I was trying to find out more information and came across your post..

She truly was a beautiful person, in and out. She was the most happiest person I had the pleasure of knowing. Even when she was down.. she still had a smile on her face. I am just so unbearably saddened! I can't stop texting, or calling her, or writing on her FB.. as if she is going to answer, and it all going to be a bad dream!

She was. There is a special place in my heart for people like her, who are just constantly (and almost relentlessly) happy and positive. Such a good heart, and always the life of the party. And I know what you mean, about expecting her to answer her calls. I found myself looking at her FB page and waiting for some kind of update from her, as if she's going to post a new picture or write a new status. But all I see are letters of condolences from her friends.

      It's messed up...

I knew Lee very well also. She wills always have a special place in my heart because of the great times we had. She was a good person. I still cant believe shes gone. I heard somewhere the family may be considering a private funeral. I respect their decision but will be very upset if I cannot say my final goodbyes to a good friend. I hope they understand that nobody wants to impose. Its just that Lee touch alot of lives and we all lost someone.

      Tragic

Even Though I had Not Talked To Lee in Many Years, My Heart Seemed To Skip A Beat And I Seemed To Forget To Breath For A Moment When I Heard The Devastating News, "Tragic" Is The Only Thing That Comes To Mind. Lee Was A Great Girl, Always The Life Of The Party, Was Truly Happy, And Had More Personality In One Strand Of Hair Than 99.9% Percent Of The World Have In There Whole Bodies. She Was A Friend To Everybody And I Think One Would Be Hard Pressed To Find Someone In Central Florida That Didn't Know Her. She Would Be The First One To Tell You That "Life Is Short And To Make The Best Out Of Everyday". My Heart Goes Out To Her Friends And Her Family. To Anyone That Didn't Know Lee, That In Itself, Is A Terrible Loss.

Yes, it's true that her family is going to have a private funeral. Her friends are all getting together this Saturday, though, and holding a memorial service for her in New Smyrna Beach. I don't have all the details yet, but if you'd like, I can keep you posted. I feel the same way you do about the private funeral. I do respect their decision, but Lee has sooo many friends, whose lives she has brightened. Just to see the flow of support on her Facebook page shows how popular she was, and how deeply everyone who knows her feels for her. We all just want a last chance to say goodbye...

Agreed. She was definitely one of a kind, and everyone knew it. Even her boyfriend is just completely overwhelmed at how many people have expressed their sadness at her passing, and have had nothing but the most amazing things to say about her. The world is definitely just that much more worse off, without her in it.
