Destination
Route
When navigating through a large building with many walls and doors (or when driving to a distant destination), do you concentrate on the location of your destination or do you concentrate on following a previously known route to get you there? |

I focus on the destination, so long as you know where you are and where you want to go, you'll never get lost. |

Both depending on the circumstances. Walking around I suppose I focus on the destination. While driving, if there are time restrictions, I focus on known routes and my knowledge of how long they take. |

I'm extremely bad at finding my way in situations like that, worse than anyone else I've encountered. If I'm in a new place and go down a few hallways or something, I'll have no idea what direction I'm facing relative to where I began, I'll be confused about what turn I even took 2 turns ago, if I get an idea in my mind it will often be wrong and lead to me getting lost... I really hate how bad I am at it. I've heard females tend to be worse than males at direction but that can't even explain how bad I am, way worse than the average female. |

Definitely the Route. I memorize land marks (to the best of my ability). If I try to visualize a map in my head (the final destination) I literally become dizzy. It's all part of having dyscalculia for me, though. My dad used to give me a hard time, saying I could lost walking through our backyard (which was so tiny you could see from one end to the other in any direction lol). |
