forum excisions

I may have to remove a couple of the forums on the site, because I'm getting a little tired of having to defend myself. The following will probably go: Philosophy Entertainment Senseless Banter Artist's Corner seems to be reasonably populated, so perhaps that one will remain. Anyway, comments from anyone?

WAit up; Before making pressured dicisions I must admit I was Wrong about my statement. The message board I used to be on Had it coming people were just to stupid with their little masks on and such.. Plus it was on similar things thus things got repeated.. You doing off topic Expansions sounds like a good idea now Which will profit the board. What you CAN do is make things like Entertainment and Senseless Banter Combined into one thred, (How you would do this succesfuly is up to you) It will make your message board look smaller more attractive while keeping all the topics desired, PLus be easier to manage and view. AS long as the originality of the board; The lucid dreaming topics; remain strong there shouldent be a problem. And for those complaining.. IF the board dosent change it will die.. If it changes too much it will die. This seems like an atiquite change that remains in the middle of these two. After all... Theres more topics to life then LDs.

Noooo Senseless banter is fun! we need to get goofy and stupid at times. What has been brought up about senseless banter? I thought everyone seemed to be getting along. I can see philosophy and entertainment as not much is being posted, entertainment though I dont get, there hasnt been any heated disputes there. Philosophy is another thing though, but I think everyone is doing fairly well... Though I know some toes have probably been stepped on, but thats going to happen no matter what, we cannot all agree on the same thing all the time. I also think as a community we need to be able to discuss other things, granted out main Focus is Lucid dreaming, but speaking about other topics I think is good for our growth as well.. What do you guys think... Also Whos got beef?! (you dont have to tell me) I support any thing you do Icedawg, you make decisions with only the best of intentions for us!

ya, senseless banter! ...how was there a problem with it to begin with? ...tho i do hafta admit i have been avoiding philosophy, quite on purpose...that prolly didnt really belong on this forum (although it deos halfway pertain)

yeah, what would happen if the senseless banter forum was extinguished...i know alot of that goes on outside of the forum, but in the forum resides alot of the pointless crap.

there aren't any problems that i'm aware of with any particular forum. apparently the sheer number of forums is causing a problem. since i cannot remove any dream forums, i was looking into removing some of the off-topic ones. i simply picked the two that were least posted in, as well as senseless banter since i had thought it was one we could do without. None of the existing threads from any of the forums would be deleted of course; they would simply be merged with The Lounge.

I suppose Senseless Banter could remain. I think Entertainment should go, because there's just not enough to warrant a whole forum for that; topics related to entertainment can easily be discussed in the lounge. As for philosophy...I dunno?

i agree with atari, entertainment and philosophy topics can be written in the lounge. Senseless Banter i don't know, that might need to stay.

so, why do you need less forums again? ...tho i do agree, philosophy and entertainment into the lounge, tho frankly, couldnt we just simply banter senselessly in the lounge too? ...i mean, we already do sometimes...and its not like theres a TON of senseless banter, so its not like the lounge would get flooded with nonsensical garbage either, it would only get slightly moist
