I can see where you come to that conclusion. Alice had those dreams which we find out are actually fragments from a distant memory. I like how they made the new one feel more like a dream.

Didn't the author of Alice In Wonderland say that his book was based on a lucid dream he had?

well I hate to spoil the party, but I found something on that

A carving of a griffon and rabbit, as seen in Ripon Cathedral, where Carroll's father was a canon, may have provided inspiration for the tale.

Since Carroll was a mathematician at Christ Church, it has been suggested[19][20] that there are many references and mathematical concepts in both this story and also in Through the Looking-Glass

Mathematician Keith Devlin asserted in the journal of The Mathematical Association of America that Dodgson wrote Alice in Wonderland in its final form as a scathing satire on new modern mathematics that were emerging in the mid-19th century.
The hidden math behind Alice in Wonderland

it doesn`t mention anywhere that it was a lucid dream per se

my impression is, that because he was a maths teacher in victorian England, if he would have mentioned that he could dream up such stuff, I think he would have ended up in a nuthouse

so he said that it was a figment of his imagination ... which is partially true in this case

Isn't Alice in Wonderland just a regular dream not a lucid? I don't remember the part where Alice realizes it's a dream and turns the queen into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and escapes.

There really isn't much fiction about LDing, which is kind of disappointing. I haven't been able to get my hands on any.

I'm googling this and I found a novel called Dreamside which is about LDing. Might try to pick that up, but I've been reading mostly non-fiction lately.

well Alice doesn`t know she can do such a thing

but doesn`t she kick some butt in the end by growing large and such things?

Too bad it isn't an episode of the original series, that's the only one I like, just because it's so ridiculous and funny. But I still might have to watch that if I can find it since it's about LDing.
