New Android keyboard for keeping a dream journal

      Hi all,

Yesterday I published Keymonk, a new Android keyboard that may be particularly useful for keeping a dream-journal:
      https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....keymonk.latin

The concept may be familiar to you if you heard of the Swype and Slideit keyboards, however, Keymonk is a significant evolution, maybe a revolution that lets you sweep words with both fingers at once.

I find it very convenient for inputting large amount of text, and use it personally for dream journaling in the middle of the night.

Sweeping words with both fingers instead of tapping fits perfectly with the general dreamy experience in the middle of the night

If you give it a try (and please do) consider yourself an early adopter - don't judge it harshly for bugs or missing features and send feedback.

I already noticed it mainly attracts young people (10 to 30 years old) who quickly get the hang of it.

I hope you find it useful.

How does this work? Do you have a video so I can see how this works in real life? I love Swype, but I can't see how I should be able to sweep with two fingers at once?

Try it, and start with a simple word such as 'make'.

With a traditional sweep keyboard you would start at M sweep to the other side of the keyboard to A then back to K and all the way again to E.
With Keymonk start with your right thumb on M, start with your left thumb on A, sweep your right thumb to K and your left thumb to E.

A video is one of my work items.

That sounds really useful. I might try it out once it's been tested for bugs. I stick to tapping but if this works out as well as hoped, I'll definitely consider switching over.

Play Store says the app is incompatible with my phone. I have a Galaxy S with android version 4.0.4. I'm not sure why it's incompatible? Could you maybe upload the apk to somewhere else so I can test it?

Hi Morten, I enabled download from Denmark so you should be able to download it once the app page is updated (may take an hour or more).

Just downloaded this I really like it actually! And I like how every time you use it it changes color! Considering moving this to tech talk but it doesn't get much action so i guess it'll stay here for now!
