Not this year, but I hope to next year or the year after. I gotta find a good LSD source though |

I'm going this year. First time, can't wait. People have tried describing it to me but I still have no idea what to expect, really. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Nice. What kinda drugs you bringing? Just pot, or you getting something fun? |
|
Yeah, they definitely know were to get the good stuff! |
|
How is the DEA not all over this thing? |
|
There's already at least one camp that does seminars on Kung Fu Lucid Dreaming or some crap, I don't remember. I want to start a theme camp for either next year or the year after, but who knows. |

I'm so jealous! I've been to a bunch of Burning Man decomps, but as a college student I am too poor for the actual event |

Yes, the people who just go for the party miss out on the underlying message of authoritarian crony capitalism. "No one can sell anything except us" is the Burning Man motto. |

Hmmm, I never really thought of it that way. @Omnis Dei, no one is allowed to sell anything in Burning Man for money, you're only allowed to trade items/services, but they charge real money for coffee at their cafe, and for the tickets. They are a non-profit though, so it's not like they're making money from it. |
|
All they sell is ice and coffee. the coffee I don't understand but whatever not a coffee drinker. |

Ice isn't free, and neither is coffee. Perhaps you're referring to the tickets; I understand the basic workings of the event but still there must be some serious expenses involved in the event. How much of that money do you think is going to uncle sam for the use of the land? |

Here's some pictures from the burn this year |

Hmm, a couple of my friends went and they said most people bring things (e.g. small handmade things such as keychains, mementos, etc.) to trade for other things. It's not like it's a rule, but they said that most people give something in order to recieve something. Maybe they misunderstood though. |
|
Yeah that's misleading. It's really more about just sharing. You bring in order to share, but there's no bartering. |
