These are the kind of meaningful discussion I try to have with people but for some reason, they just look at me like I'm weird. |

I've had a problem with our assignment of times to the 24-hour clock for a while, and am having trouble sleeping tonight because I keep thinking about it. |

That is why we use 24h clock. So much simpler. |

Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.
The metric system, 2400 system and celsius system are all vastly superior to their american counterparts. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Let's call the sun "day moon" while we're at it too. |
I. . . don't understand the problem. I guess because I'm accustomed to it? The way the 12 hour day works doesn't seem confusing to me. |
It's because, in the 12-hour system, you don't count the first hour, until the first full hour has passed. |

Yep, same as why the 1900's were the "20'th century" and the 2000's are the 21st century - weird, right? |
I suppose it makes some sense, although I'd prefer that we just had a 0:00 instead of 12:00, that would make more sense. |
Yeah, I wish Europe would just invade the US (and Canada), force us to take on the metric system and replace our government (Canada can keep their government). Any takers? |
Canada uses the metric system already. But I wish someone would force me to move farther south where it's warm. |
Oh ok - well that makes this much easier. I wish Canada would invade the US. You know - cause of their warlike nature and all. |

Don't worry Dianeva - a few more years of climate change and we'll all be moving up there! |
Pennsylvania is further south than Canada, but I doubt it's much warmer. . . |

Dianeva, you'll always have the distinction of being the person who pushed my likes up to 666 |

I don't know about the rest of the world, but here, on Sept 12th the weather was July-Aug. Then on Sept 13th, it was October, and it's been like that since. It's the most sudden change to fall I've ever experienced. I hate the cold. I can't think right and don't want to do anything but sleep if its under 70 degrees or so. And my dad gets pissed off when I turn the thermostat over 68. |
Yeah, here it was nice and summery until today when it was suddenly 40 degrees. I basically spent all day sleeping. |
Huh - down here in the midwest it's been cool and fall-like for a good week or so. |
