      PVR interfering with VCR/DVD player

      Our set-top box is set to work on channel 3 and that's all fine and dandy except our VCR/DVD player is also set to that channel. When I turn the VCR on, nothing happens; I just get the "Press OK to turn on your Telus [something]" message. How do I make it so that my VCR (or PVR) works on another channel?
