Thread: A little confesion..

Weed is still not decriminalized here in Canada.They tried to pass the law but they have pressure from the influencial USA.If you get caught with possessiin it is still a criminal offense.Bush just wants to keep the marriage tradition of the opposite sex alive.like it has been for ever.They managed to take the lords prayer out of our public schools because some parents didn,t believe in god..would you like that?change a tradition and a strong beliefe that people had for years..I think some traditions and values should not be altered or messed with .

Taking out a prayer isnt really that bad, taking it out a public school that is. People just dont all believe the same, so you have to pray your religions prayer at home, or alone, or in your religions building(church,temple wherever)., or when your alone with fellow believers

I wouldnt like it when my child was forced to do a christian prayer while he/she wasnt christian.

Would you like it if your christian child was forced to pray or whatever to another god or deity, I dont really think so.

They should let the child decide himself to pray to whoever he wants during lunchbreak or something

Why does everyone look to the US for guidance? It's not like we know what we're doing or anything. I mean, come on, look who's leading our country. A shaved monkey.

As far as prayer in school is concerned, that's a whole other topic. All I'll say to that is: I agree with Lucius. And not everyone is Christian. Everyone has different traditions and values. I don't even know your Lord's prayer! Anyway, in my eyes, religion in school is a subject altogether different than rampant discrimination against a certain group. No one is being hurt, no toes are being stepped on if two gay men or women wed. In fact at least two people are very happy for the union. Love is love across the border, regardless of what we look like on the outside (unless you're in love with, say, cattle or something... That's a bit creepy, but hey... if that's you're thing and all, blessings and happiness to you and Bessie.)

Maybe I'm dumb or something, but I just can't understand what it is that the world just doesn't get. We all love, we all cry, we all bleed the same color blood when we're cut, we all laugh, we all come from the same womb (well, not literally, but you know what I mean). We all have a soul.

So why the hell can't we just accept each other? Especially in matters like gay marriages, where no one is harming anyone else and two people are entering a union and commitment to love.

I wish I could say that I broke my foot up Bush's ass instead of having fallen down the stairs like I did.

Well said Lost soul. Gay people getting married isn't hurting anyone and just because you think it's "gross" is not a valid reason to deny marriage to all of them. I mean people these days, grow up! It's 2004, get with it and learn to accept new changes in the world.

I mean if anyone would say anything about me I woud yell right back at them "I'm not paying you to look at me or what I'm doing. Get on with your own lives and leave me the hell alone!" *sigh* I cant wait till Bush gets booted out of office next election.

I hate to argue about bush, hes been through a shit load with the whole middle east thing, and he has his short-commings, as do we all, maybe not as much as him, but oh well.
