Exactly! DON'T BUY CD'S FROM MAJOR RECORD LABELS! It just causes the smaller unique bands to be pushed out stifling the new and innovative creativity coming from them.

I have to agree, and disagree. I buy cds from the record companies who are small and just starting out. I love the underground stuff, Like Annathallo.

It's OK to be in a band for money, as long as you don't let it influence the music. They have to make a living somehow.

But most bands are in it for music. I don't think I have ever met a band member who said they wanted in for cash. Although I am not saying that those people don't exsist. I have just never met them.

You know, most of the ones who do whats popular and "in" just so they can get on the major record labels because these labels know that this idea already sells

This is the way i see it...

Being in a band is the same as being a businessmen or stakeholder.
You go for the record company that will give you the most money available, and you work from there, its all about earning a living.

Secondly, some businessmen do some jobs that don't pay so well, but their in it for the happyness.
Some bands are in it for their fans, but dont make as much money as they could on a bigger record deal...some are in it for the cash...

*and now is the point where LOST SOUL comes in and says...DAMN YOU METALLICA!*

hey dougdrums, i think i'll be collecting that bonus cause its intellegent dance music, even though u can't really dance to it,

ohh and Artelis seems like u think punk went out late 70s, i personally disagree with just about all your not "punk" choices, but i have to agree that the real DIY hardcore attitude is now gone, but the other bands i listed were progressions of the style of music, punk music that is, and though they may not have as much to rebell agaisnt they continue on the same sort of path as the bands u did lable "punk", by the way, how u judge what is "punk" or not, u going just by dates or what?

Man, maxwell murder has the CRAZIEST bass solo I've ever heard! I love that song. I love NoFx ( favorite band since like 9 years old ) Misfits, lagwagon, old stuff like zeppelin, pink floyd, love the ac/dc and iron maiden, too.. They are awesome. I've always hated good charlotte though, they are so pop punk weiners

      Oh god, music.

You know the RIAA and the recent lawsuits they've been whacking around?
I still download Music. I've got alot of it. About 500 mp3s or so.
And they haven't caught me yet.
      Idiots.
