if strangulation is the method, you might as well go all the way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-erotic_asphyxiation

The death in 1994 of Stephen Milligan, the British Conservative MP for Eastleigh, was a case of auto-erotic asphyxiation combined with self-bondage. This combination is particularly lethal.[/b]

If you're planning on dying, you should at least try and make it pleasurable

That poor little cat. Why couldn't you have just taken it to the vet and had it put down? That is so mean!!

Not too much longer. At least it wouldn't have suffered pain from being strangled...

And that is why I really want to just find a way to never die!!

I was upset as it was (when I get upset, my stomach starts to hurt really bad). Now thinking about cuddling...or getting touched by a guy, I think I am going to Vomit!!

You just haven't found the right guy to cuddle with. I'm like a big teddy bear...ok actually I'm like boney monkey, but you'll grow to like it. ~

      No, I will not.
It is just like saying I will grow up to love cotton, and that is not true. I have much more tolerance for pain than I do for textures like cotton, or ones that remind me too much of 7th grade!!

I am a senior. May be going to SLCC next year, or a Computer school!
I don't like cotton, that is all there is to it.
      Is there anything wrong w/that.
BTW, death by cotton would be the worst, and I don't care about pain in the least!

yes, there's something wrong with that. IT'S ALL AROUND YOU! Our great nation's economy was built on cotton! What do you sleep on, a bed of nails? do you have hemp shirts and courdoroy pants? and what about socks, do you have to buy the special super-expensive kind? I just don't understand how anything that could have happened in 7th could cause you to like pain more than cotton.

It has actually been longer than 7th. B4 I learned to LD, I learned to like and hate certain textures, and pain had no effect on me (I would bump into walls all the time, but I would turn around and act like nothing happened), though I would scream at people if they dared put cotton anywhere on me (I was young, but I still dread it). Raw cotton is what really affects me!! I really don't want to say anything more, so, let's get back on topic, though, shall we?

I'd still like to die a martyr. What better way to go than dying for something you truly believe in and are willing to perish to tell the world... though I'd prefer them drowning me because water is my favorite element. At least it would be a fairly quick death.

Least favorite way to die: fire... or lava. I hate the thought of being burnt to death....

Another unpleasant way to die, I've heard is huffing cooking spray. I heard about a kid who did it once. The spray expands once it hits the oxygen so you're instantly asphyxiated (sp?). I imagine it'd be painful too.

I did think of that. But I used to volunteer at Animal Hospitals. Yes, the shot puts them to sleep rather quickly, but so did my method. And I was considering that it would have taken me about another half an hour to get to the Animal Hospital, and then I could not have been sure to find the Doctor there.

I was on the spot and I think I made the best possible decision, considering that I am not omnipotent.

Oh, and also in regards to that terribly injured cat, still alive after having been struck a few times in the road... there was more to consider. Half of the Kitties face was missing -- its right eye was totally gone. The legs were broken and flopping around and the spine down near its hind legs was also fractured and allowed the legs to swivel unnaturally. Then there was the smell of death had already set in... or was that the smell of intense fear. It was a horrible smell.

I would have thought that the Doctor, whom I used to work with as a volunteer, would have thought the less of me for not taking care of this situation myself, quickly and with the least repercussions. What repercussions, you might ask? Well, imagine coming into the Animal Hospital, with all the Customers there that time of day for Pet Pick Up, with children in tow... imagine how seeing and smelling that poor broken cat might haunt some of the more susceptable and sensitive. I've seen a lot in my life, but that was hard even for me. Seeing it swoon and suffer, but then when I was able to make it go 'still'... well, I felt it had been a relief for me as well as it, it as well as me. And I was able to do it without bringing such gloom down upon otherwise happy people. Oh, and this is not to say how that smell of Fear and Death would have gone down at the Animal Hospital with all of the animals in Boarding and Quarantine. Stressed out already, this may have started a panic with the animals that nobody could be able to explain to them.

So, you would cut off the blood circulation to a kitty, too?

You really don't understand. The entire point of my first post here was to say that I think that death by strangulation of blood to the brain is not only NOT painful, but actually pleasurable. And I know this for a fact, because, as I explained, when my blood pressure drops do to fasting and I get up too quickly from a nap, the momentary shortage of blood going to my brain causes me to pass out... to die just a bit... enough to become insensible for a moment. And it does not hurt.

Indeed, there is an entire tradition in India which instructs upon Breath Control, many of the exercises calculated to drop the blood pressure and limit oxygen to the brain in order to maintain that edge between fainting and not-fainting which is the most Ecstatic. And I remind you what a virtue they hold Fasting to be.

I would not have used any method that I thought would hurt poor kitty... though it was hurt quite severly enough and probably would have thanked even some greater pain, provided it was quick and final.

It made me cry to think you would do something like that to the poor little creature!!
I mean, if a little kid got run over several times, you wouldn't hurt it!!

what if... he was very nearly dead and In agony. wouldn't it be better to end his suffering? even though I wouldn't kill a kid even if it was that situation, I'd prefer someone to do it to me.
