Hey all it's opening day of the 2006 WORLD CUP!! With all the non-american members that come to this site I thought it would be a good idea to open a thread so that all could come in and voice off, raise your flag, cheer, bash, trash or whatever it is you feel like saying about the biggest championship tournament for the greatest trophy on the planet! As an American my sports are mainly football (grid iron) and baseball - but I grew up a soccer player and being of south american heritage I can't help but feel anxious during Word Cup season. OK, I'm definitely not patriotic, but BRAZIL SUCKS. Brazil REALLY SUCKS. Sure they play well, but most of the players are funking retards who fake injuries the whole fugging time. They really piss me off. So I'm happy as long as Brazil loses badly. Otherwise I like all the teams that play fairly and honorably.

Everyone is trying to get an edge wherever they can. Not just Brazil. To downlplay their skill is just ridiculous. They are clearly the best in the world.

Yeah you're right. They only won 5 world cups. Only two more than anyone else(germany). I take it back. Brazil sucks. But in all seriousness, ignoring the fact that they are the best historically, because they are, I was only reffereing to their team of this world cup. This is probably the greatest team Brazil has ever had. The only world cup they've ever been clear favorites. But anything can happen. Should be exciting.
