Hey. To get to the point, I had stayed up all night in a vain attempt to make me really tired by around 8pm, that way I could easily go to sleep and probably wake up at around 7am or so, cause lately I've been going to bed at around 3am and getting up at 3pm, which is no good cause school is starting again soon.

Well, anyway. I stayed up all night, all morning until 12pm. By then I felt like total crap and gave in and went to sleep. Only when I woke up I felt really weird, disoriented best describes it. I had a problem thinking straight, all my thoughts we're in on big jumble, and If I didn't concetrate then whatever I was thinking would become incoherent.

Just curious to see if anyone else has had this. Quite Disturbing.

I have that problem ALL the time.... Well, not lately, but I used to a lot, because I had some messed up sleeping patterns. It's just a side-effect of a lack of sleep, or perhaps too much sleep at the wrong times. It happens to me whenever I stay up for like more then 24 hours, and then basically just pass out for a bit, I wake up at a bad time like 5pm and just feel like total crap, and everything is really messed. People try to talk to me, but I can't make any sense of what they're saying half the time. It's quite a nasty feeling. It usually passes over the course of the night though, and my sleeping pattern gets back on track....

Well actually that's nothing to be scared of. Some people awake very immediately and are clearminded and standing vertically in no time. While other people wake up very Slowly. Like me. As we fall asleep we loose our Conciousness and drift off into out subconcious mind. Like the 2nd harddisk of your PC: It stores lots of information backups but you're most active on the other harddisk. It's like you Dissociate while falling asleep> Your Ego falls appart and for a second you are Nobody then your Ego is ''rebuilt'' in your Subconcious mind: what we experience as dreams. In the morning your Ego is, like me, VERY SLOWLY, desintegrates and gets ''regenerated'' in the Concious State of mind again. And then you wake up.

That Disorientation is you not having fully returned from dreamland yet after having awoken.
Not knowing who or where you are for some time after awakening may be experienced in extreme cases of this Slow Awakening. I usually kind of enjoy the DisOrientation in the Morning

not to overestimate the Value of our Concrete Knowledge;"Common sense"/Rationality,
for doing so would make us Blind for the unimaginable, unparalleled Capacity of and Wisdom contained within our Felt Knowledge;Subconscious Intuition.
