its just... slow...and bloated... the colors/layout are just the opposite of good

It looks unprofessional, the pling sounds are annoying (although they can be turned off) and ripped from AIM, the colour scheme sucks, and most of all, you are MONSTERS. INTERNET CULTURE MONSTERS.

Actually, he did pay money for that out of his own pocket for you guys.
And the chat serves it purpose and runs fine, so unless people start forking over their own money for this stuff, I don't think anybody should be carrying on about how much something sucks.

I agree with Spirit and Burns I think its good.

I agree with potato sOOp, it's slow and bloated. It's trying way to hard to be MSN or something, with fancy rounded buttons, background design, sounds when you mouse over something, etc. I'd rather it be plain white with black text, and FAST. Maybe it's possible for there to be preferences, like you can select themes on the message board?

As for comments, the admin can take constructive criticism, just give it some time. Then organise your thoughts then present them in a concise professional manner in feedback so adjustments can be made if possible or necessary.

Hmm. New chat.
It's slightly shiny.
It's slow.
It takes up FAR too much processing power.
It isn't anywhere near as fast as IRC.
The sounds are annoying, but can be turned off.

However, it seems that some people hate IRC (WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?) so I guess, for some, there is no other option.
My verdict... Bad. But there's no other option, for most of DV.

I like the chat, altough I think the color red should be removed; I find red sentences hard to read.

yah, like it's really great - all we need now are people to actually use it.

I kinda miss the old lame one... I hate going into chat and not being able to see what everyone was chatting about... I miss the smilies in there too. There are some good features with the new one, but it's just not the same. Too many changes, I get scared...

Besides, I really doubt it's the same for anyone if Joe can't make his proper exit.
