Uh yeah I guess, but I shot the damn thing like 2 weeks ago and he hasn't forgot it yet. He said it as he passed me down the hall so I think I could still burn him thru an email...I'm just not clever enough. Deployment is like highschool all over again and I don't wanna re live that.

A conflict takes two parties. The best thing to do is let it drop.

Its part of maturity. You don't NEED to get back at him. In fact, you trying to get back at him will probably make people respect you less.

Okay okay, maybe you are right, but I'm sure he'll bring it back up and in front of people so I wanna be prepared for the next time. What should I say to put him back in his place if he happens to bring it up again?

Just be like... "Dude... that happened 2 weeks ago...".

First, don't do it through email.

Like Arby says, the best thing to do is ignore him. The worst thing you can do to people like that is let them get under your skin.

But if you can't, the next time he says it, just (calmly) say something like "Still trying to project your insecurities on other people, I see? That's alright. You'll grow out of it...someday," smile and just go on about your business.

Yeah, you can just stfu about it and he will be like "okay he doesn't really care." Pretty much everything Arby said.

I don't think she should shut up, I think you should say something about guns that don't shoot, if you catch my drift.

this one may be a little too sharp "your complacency and confidence in your superior marksmanship may well get you killed"

Comebacks like those generally just get you strange looks. A rolling of the eyes is a defeat all comeback. Unless of course, what they said caried any weight.. (this doesn't BTW)
