There must be such thing as a "universal look" or something, because I've been approached many times by people who say hi to me, then go - "oh, so sorry, you look just like..." |

Ok something really freaky just happened. I was walking around my office, its a HUGE office where I work, like a thousand people or something so I have not seen everyone here, I dont think, and decided to walk to my desk in a way I have never gone before. My office is a figure of 8 (as per the attached). I normally go the same way but went the other way and I bumped into Oneironaught!!!! |

Yeah I know what you mean about people acting similar to other people you know! It's a weird one! |
So did you ask him: "Hello are you mister Oneironaught?" |

I would have done, but apparently I dont pronounce Oneironaught correctly. |
Actually, it's Oh-new-ro-not. |
This happened to me just this weekend. Saturday I think. I was at this community thing and out of the crowd comes this guy who looked almost exactly like Oneironaut, except with more hair. I think I did a quadruple take and he smiled at me. He was walking with a lady who was pushing a stroller. |
Would be funny if asked a stranger in the street, "Hey are you Vex Kitten?" |

That would be a compliment! |

Don't you know that I'm stalking you, Adam? It was worth getting the job |
So everyone is right then, and I was wrong, its Oh-NIGH-row-naught |
I was under the impression "neiro" would be pronounced the same as "neuro". |
I can barely even spell Oneironaught so pronouncing it was out of the question for me. Next time I see that O look-alike I can ask if it's him and won't look like too much of an idiot stammering and trying to pronounce it correctly. |
Laugh it up... I say it the way Stephen LaBerge says it. And if we can't trust him to get his LDing terms correctly then we have nothing. |
... then bow before me :p |
Aww, come here my little cute pony |
I have not seen anyone that looks like anyone I know. |

What always cracks me up is when people say to me, "You know you look just like (insert name here)!".. and then later I'll actually SEE that person.. and (aside from the fact that we're both female), she will look absolutely NOTHING like me!! :p |

This is a weird aspect of human pattern recognition. Sometimes people are so keyed in to specific aspects of an individuals form or personality, that they can see a resemblance even when these very specific characteristics are all that are actually similar. For instance, you may have a similar smile to someone and so in their mind, "you look just like them" |
