Ladies, what would you do if a guy...

      Bought you a lap dance?

Some of my fraternity brothers want to meet up at a strip club, a couple girls said they wanted to go, and i really want to see the reaction i'd get from buying a lap dance for one of the girls.

I've never been to a strip club. Should be interesting

If they're willingly joining you at a strip club, then I'm sure they'd love one.

Well, if she's str8 she's not going to like it.
If she's gay I'm pretty sure she prefers lesbian-type stuff to male strip clubs.
And if she's bi she's probably just trying to get the attention of one of the guys.

I honestly don't believe girls like lapdances from other girls, especially skanky strippers.

You see, that's where I wish I could be more like one of you fratboy guys - you can say to hell with what women want, and women let you get away with it.

Pretty much all women hate guys who worry so much about what women want. It makes you appear subservient and underhanded (like you are being manipulative to get what you want. Everyone should basically say 'to hell with what women want' or what men want and go for what they want and the people who agree with them will be more attracted to them.

As for the girls and lap dance thing. It really depends on the girls. Like Alban said, they might be there just to get with some frat guys, in which case they are probably dumb skanks who will do anything with another girl to get the guys attention, or they are in to girls and will probably buy themselves a dance after they have enough drinks to have an excuse to act like a dumb skank. Actually, the only real option here is if you are the guy they are trying to get with then they will let you buy the dance, but if you aren't then they will get one for themselves and leave you hanging out with your girlfriends, "lefty" and "righty."

I'd say there's the third possibility that they're curious to observe the spectacle and feel they have a safe context to do it

But yeah, let's assume they're skanks.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

By my demeanor, you would have never guessed that I was in a fraternity. The only way you know is that i say it, and the letters in my signature. So now i'm an asshole, eh? Someone who ignores womens' wants?

See, that's where the stereotype that i don't like comes in, become my brothers and i are not like that. It's what you get for joining a fraternity at a liberal arts college.

I can't speak for all frat boys, but the guys at my fraternity and i don't say to hell with what a woman wants. We respect women immensely, it's even part of our preamble

"...that the chivalry of man toward woman shall be maintained and protected by us, not only for ourselves and our posterity, but also for the good of all mankind.'

We even have something set up where if a girl comes over and gets too drunk, one of the brothers will walk her home and make sure she's safe.

What, are we supposed to just ignore what a woman wants? She doesn't want to sleep with me, so i fucking rape her? That's WAY out of line, and ignoring a woman's wants is just as out of line.

So really, don't try to stereotype. I'm a fraternity man, yes. There are assholes in fraternities but not all fraternity men are assholes.

I mean, i'm going to a strip club with friends. Some of those are girls who CHOSE to go to a strip club. It would be funny and a new experience for them and i doubt any of them would REALLY deny it. Am i bashing their femininity or ignoring their wants? Ummm...no. Don't be a freaking retard.

Am i objectifying women by going to a strip club? Yes. But i see them not as strippers, but as women who have a job. It's their choice to take off their clothes and i respect that.

Oh, by the way? I have three sisters.

Sorry but...I don't really think you have a clue what you're talking about!

I've been to many strip clubs with my ex-fratboy-bf (who was extremely cool and not "inconsiderate" and is now a lawyer *cough*) and had alot of fun. And I really hate stereotypes like that.

edit: b12, ignore them...people always hate on frat/sorority types I think cause they are jealous

We've seen enough of their dumb skank sides at the house. Some of them have boyfriends. Others are close friends of the house. They don't need to impress us or anything, we love them anyway. We're just out to have fun.

      what exactly is a fraternity?

It seems to me some kind of gang/club organization that like Greek symbols in their names to make em sound complicated.

Like say Alpha Gamma Kappa or something, i don;t get it, please educate me on this American tradition of Fraternities, the only one i saw was on CSI where the lower members were paddled by higher ones and given womens names and humiliated sexually and verbally until they became higher up members when the tables turned and they could be the masters. It was very confusing..

Lol, Paddles have been a "fraternity tradition" since they started. Back in the days of hazing, the active members (current brothers of the fraternity) used to paddle the pledges. If a pledge would drop trou and take a couple paddles to the ass, that's devotion right there. I never got paddled and didn't really get hazed. Pledging was amazing for me, it was fun, a great experience, and i really bonded with my pledge brothers -- they're the best friends i have.

A fraternity is a secret society for males. Sororities are for girls. They're social organizations. Ever heard of the Freemasons? They're a fraternity. Greek fraternities are a secret society of men at a college that use greek letters to symbolize the secret meaning behind their fraternity and their values. Delta Sigma Phi (my fraternity) stands for things i can't tell you, but it's the meaning behind my fraternity. It's all about values, secrecy, rituals, etc...really, it's not what you think, lol. Fraternities do a lot of charity work as well and try to be in the community -- at my college, my fraternity has a very strong standing within the college and the city. Our philanthropy is the American Cancer Society.

Basically, it's a group of men that share the same ideals and values. We also live in the same house. It really helps you learn structure. Usually fraternities are governed by the men running it, colleges leave them alone to do their own thing. It's helpful; we learn how to get along with each other, maintain morals, work together, and govern ourselves. The fraternity ideal has been corrupted by the typical "frat boy" stereotype -- an arrogent, mysogenic jerk. But those aren't real frat boys.

It looks really good on a resume. Also, these men in your fraternity will help you for life. Say you're applying for a job and someone at the top was in your fraternity. They'd really pull for you, hook you up. Also i have people to share myself with, people i trust who will push for me to do good and help and support me with whatever i need.

There's also academic fraternities that don't live in a house, for example, Psi Chi - the psychology academic fraternity. What's REALLY cool is the Neuroscience fraternity. The name is Nu Rho Psi. Awesome, right? lol.
