tell me some cool pet names

Hey I got a new pet, but I'm terrible at thinking of names, does anyone know some cool names. My pet is a boy, so they'd have to be boy names.

Maybe some more information about the colour/size/SPECIES of your pet?

Don't want to go calling an hamster 'Ripper', or anything like that, you know...

      How about Oreo?

I like the idea of naming animals by the names of animals they are not. You could call your guinea pig Moose, Lizard, Catfish, Cricket, Parakeet, Tarantula, or something like that. It is also cool to name a pet by a word you completely made up.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

It depends on what you want. Do you want a unique name (foreign word, invented word)? A "people" name (Frank, Bob, etc)? A themed name (movie or video game character, etc)? Are you going to call the pet by it's name? If so, you may only want to consider one or two syllable names.

I tend name my pets after famed historical figures, especially when they don't have a lot of personality (i.e. fish or reptiles). For me, these sorts of names make great comedy and make the pet more interesting/lovable.

Marx, Oscar (Wilde), Atilla, Nietzsche, Caligula, Imhotep, Shelley, Plato, Eisenhower, Freud, Heidegger, Leeuwenhoek, Byron, Virgil, Confucius, Faraday, Cicero, Descartes, and Kant, to name a few, might make good pet names.

^^^ Yea, a guinea pig named "Caligula", that would be cool.

I was thinking Checkers would be good. I had a guinea pig named that.

Meh I usually try to name my pets with unusual and/or exotic names.

My rabbits name is Zooni, and if I ever get another one his/her name would start with an X.
