The temperature here in Arizona dropped from 110 on Monday...

      ...to 60 Thursday and today.

So much for my plans to go swimming.

wo hold on you wouldnt go in swimming in 60 degrees? hell in washington the weather is all over the place but 60 would be just fine. the better question is how do you go outside when its 110? you'd be baken yourself.

110 isn't nearly as bad in Arizona as it is in Georgia. Here we have 100% humidity to deal with too. It's a sweltering, clinging, damp heat here. It feels cooler there, because the air is drier. It's not so good for working in either way though. Heat stroke and thirst get you far sooner than you might think.

Are you in Yuma? That's the only place in Arizona I know that it would get THAT hot this time of year.

I have family all over Arizona (I'm originally from Tucson, raised there for 25+ years), and it hasn't been nearly that hot anywhere, except for Yuma (I have an aunt there).

I would so love to be there, right now. I'm in Texas right now, and today the high was 88, but it felt like 96 because of the humidity. I'd rather be in a "dry heat" than here, lol. I don't care what anyone says, but the "dry heat" is so much better.

For me, 60 is perfect (and 60 with humidity is even better). I would totally go swimming.

Dead serious. It was 110 on a day I was walking home from school. That wasn't too pleasant.

I'm in Phoenix. I could go swimming if I really wanted to, but I really prefer swimming in warm water. Guess I'm just spoiled.

I think that pretty much defeats the purpose of going swimming on a hot day.

I went to Arizona (Tucson) and it snowed. It was like 4 or 5 years ago. We went across the border for the day and it was the first time the people I was with had seen snow. Then we saw a parked car that was covered in like 3 inches of snow which was weird because it was snowing extremely lightly. But we had a snowball fight in Mexico.

But I remember being jealous of Arizona's heat school days. Where you guys get off for it being too hot. Our school hasn't gotten a snow day since the 70's. Even when it snowed 2 feet (literally) NOOOO because we have no bus system so there is no reason to cancel school. Even though 1/3 of the teachers didn't come...bogus.
