Obviously you don't understand. If gas prices go up to 6-8 dollars a gallon all hell will break loose. Currently where I live diesel is 5.15$. What uses diesel? Trucks, and trains. What do trucks and trains do.... they supply the country with all of our merchandise. Oil goes up, everything goes up. And a new type of energy wont be displayed for AT LEAST another 15-20 years. So you better start wishing It the price will go down for the time being. |

Yeah I really do. Look at how long there so-called scientists have been saying were running out of oil.... since like the late 60's. We haven't done anything until now. We've haven't even had the hybrids out for 5 years. So they've been saying were running out of oil for 30-40 years and Its killing the Earth, well they haven't done a damned thing about it! I'm guessing 15-20 years based on previous actions. |

Honestly, the only solution for now are these: |

I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.
We will always have options. |

How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
Do you mean 1-2 mpg MORE than with the windows open? Or do you mean 1-2 mpg LESS than driving with no AC and windows closed? |

In that case, mythbusters need to use my car next time. The aircon pump is the size of a small beer keg, and the revs drop when you turn it on.... so you use more fuel to maintain the same revs. |
|
well, its common sense, the windows open causes drag, doesn't really cool you off when its 100 degrees anyway, its noisy...and it wastes more gas...less aerodynamics. |
|
I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.
nah, why attack the oil companies, that will make the price 10$ a gallon. |
|
I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.
Can someone explain why Prius MPG has dropped below 50? Shouldn't the MPG be going up? It was 61 last year. |
|
what the 2009 model? I read somewhere it will get 80 mpg, where the heck did you read that its 50? |
|
I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.
No, the 2008 model, it's actually less than 50 |

The oil companies complained to Bush, Bush threatened to invade Japan if Toyota didn't lower it |

The reason is the quality of gas. It has to do with the damn chemicals their adding so fewer carbons ar released into the air. Plus I think some stations are diluting the gas with water/ or other shit. |
|
E85 burns as well as regular gas, besides car ratings don't depend on what's in the gas. |
|
As far as I know, all they've added to the gas is ethanol. In PA every gas pump says right on it: Gas contains up to 15% ethanol. |

They add thing like MTBE that dont work. Im not talking about Ethanol at all. |

You can't use Hydrogen for fuel. There isn't enough on Earth to do that. Also, you can't easilly separate it form water. And, telling thousands of gas stations in the US of A to go to hydrogen is unrealistic. |
