Venus and Jupiter Visible in the Southwestern Sky

Well, depending on from where you're observing, I suppose.

I saw this pair last night, but didn't really stop to think about anything other than "man, those are some really bright stars." Then, my mom and her boyfriend just came in the house talking about it, so I went out and had a look. They are really bright. If it was just one dot, I would have figured it was just a planet, but with two of them so close together, I wasn't so sure. Came inside and searched around a bit, and found out that they are Jupiter and Mars.

Nice, Cyclic! I hate that celestial pictures ever come out that great, though. =/

They were still out there last night, for those who haven't seen them, but in different positions. So it's not too late. I'm sure they'll be out tonight, too, I just hadn't gone out to check.

Aww. I hope I get a chance to see it.

A downside about Vancouver is often the skies are cloudy.

I saw them too! I tried to take a pic with my cell phone but the pic came out too dark.

Yeah. According to skyandtelescope.com they should be visible until, at the very least, Saturday.

They say Saturn is visible too, just before dawn, but I think you have to have a telescope.
