Thread: Do you talk to yourself?

I do it all the time, mostly on walks or in the shower, or if I'm really deep in thought. I do it in a variety of different ways, but suffice to say that yes, I talk/subvocalize to myself quite frequently.

I talk to myself when noones around, and I'm thinking.

Somehow I talk English to myself (and reply in English) while that is not my native tongues

I hold entire conversations in my head wih myself, with friends, with bosses, teachers, fucking even with Oprah once.

It kinda worries me because my dad has schizophrenia and I wonder if that's a mild indication I might be "getting it".

I do that a lot. I usually train my English or just go down some dialogue I remember or such. Poems, lyrics, dialogies, whatever occurs at the moment

lol, i talk to my self too much.i try not to do it out loud when i'm near people but it slips out and my friends look at me weird.when i'm alone i talk out loud and most of the time get into arguments with my self, lol.

Yeah, I often make jokes about everything and nothing to myself when I'm bored at work or something. Sometimes I'll go as far as making myself laugh out loud...which can be somewhat embarrassing at times

When I am trying to sleep, my sub-conscious seems to like to have conversations with me. I sound crazy I know. He's really negative though, like if I make a mistake during the day, he yells, 'Why did you do this? You are a disgrace!' By all rights, I should be considered insane, but my elder sister has the same thing happen to her.
